Very interesting but not in depth enough. I'd like to see more about the technicality of manufacture, such as how the core for the socket was accurately located.

What is the average height of the spears shafts found? Were they head height on average or more sort of hoplite 7 foot type spear length?

What kind of material is used to form the inner socket?

Normally a clay core, but I've been experimenting with bronze cores in the bronze moulds.
