My husky died 2 years ago this week. I remember feeling sorry for her. But clearly, she didn’t feel sorry for herself! All you can do is try different things like you are doing. She let me know when she didn’t want to do a walk. She let me know when she did and even dictated how far she’d walked! Once, I had to call my hubby to come get us because she laid flat in the middle of our dirt road! God Bless you both. You feel like family.

Excellent modification. Rather than a new bed get a large rectangle of thick orthopedic memory foam for him. He’ll be able to stretch out and it will pad him well from the hard floor. That red bed with the bolsters is too small when he wants to stretch out. Moving the carpets is much better too. Now he has a really large area to walk and a bigger area for a larger bed. That additional low step is perfect. These van modifications are just what was needed. You’ll see tomorrow when you go on your trip.
