The bathrooms are gorgeous. Love using your own photography hanging up because they're so nice. I think adding the tiles to your bathroom would make it more cohesive but it's not necessary

Love what you did with bathroom. I once painted all the walls of an windowless bathroom black. In my current bathroom that does have a window, I have a corner painted black and went for a monochrome leaf print wallpaper on the biggest expanse of wall.

The flat looks absolutely fantastic! Being a DIY hater, I shudder at the thought of the work, but you have really achieved something here. Is that why your‘re called a „creative“? 😉 I will file documents in what I think of at the time as the only logical place for them to be filed. Six months later, I go to get something - and it’s not there! After tearing apart the flat to find it, I usually do, and I think: “Why on earth did I put that here? Makes no sense whatsoever!” My parents went to get their electric knife - and it wasn’t where it belonged. Over the next two years (yes, years), they periodically looked for it everywhere, including in their RV and back in its usual place, thinking it really must be here. Nope! Then one day, they went to get something else - and there was the knife, right where it was supposed to be the entire time. I have a theory about this. Objects have the ability to shift into a different dimension where we can no longer see them, but the energy required to do this is limited, so at some point they always reappear. But there will be a time when they are invisible

On the topic of losing things on a regular basis, I spent over an hour looking for my glasses the other day. I had not put them down somewhere odd, I'd pushed them off my bed in my sleep, only they didn't make it to the floor. Only I couldn't remember where I'd put them the night before... the more often I use a thing the more likely I am to lose it

two bathrooms! That's so American I have to say...😉 - houseplants tip - get some stone planters/plant pots.. they may be more expensive - but much less likely to blow over in the wind...as they're super heavy.... also your prints might get damaged from the steam in the bathroom...not quite sure how you counteract that.. even using an extractor fan won't necessarily solve the problem... but I guess as it's a new build the builders have hopefully thought of that... mould can be a real issue in bathrooms with no windows/decent ventilation

After we moved into our house we upgraded the closets using ClosetMaid kits, which has similar style to the ones you got from A Place for Everything. It really makes a huge functional difference, I even removed the closet doors/tracks.

We weren't allowed to paint for year after we moved into a new build. We've hit that year point and honestly I don't have the money to pay someone to do it. Nor am I sure on the colours we chose any more. I'm a wheelchair user it's not like i can just get up and paint. Trust me I tried that in the old place, sat on the floor and spent a day trying to take the paper off the wall so we could paint it. I learnt fast it wasn't gonna happen.

Professional painters are so incredibly expensive (because they are incredibly good at a highly skilled task!) plus the feeling of doing it yourself is very nice. Picking colours is really difficult tho!

I have never been diagnosed, and I don't know why I am so scared to put a label to it/be professionally questioned, but I think it is a "shame" thing that my family (and husband) has attached to being diagnosed with any kind of mental problem or diagnosis, saying that it becomes a crutch and will then be used as an excuse. : /

FYI, the setting things down and completely forgetting where you put them is potentially an ADHD symptom! ADHD can have a huge impact on short term memory. I just got diagnosed myself, and my life makes so much more sense now!
@DreaLeigh_2 жыл бұрын
Losing things or misplacing them around the house is super annoying and then having your brain skip over them mentally when actually looking for them.... (like you and your screwdrivers), or putting them in places where they are obviously not meant to go... (like my cell in the fridge.... or being so in your head that you put face wash on your toothbrush..... 1000% would not recommend that, it is disgusting and kind of tingly on your tongue)
@durabelle2 жыл бұрын
Grey tiles look boring compared to the other ones, but the walls are super nice in both! Also whats with the WhatsApp person spamming under half the comments with your profile picture? Very fishy!
