This bike looks great and I'm definitely considering it as my first Harley. I visitited the dealer a few weeks ago but just couldn't get into the laid back ride of the softails; I'm still a few years away from that. The Sportster S looks like a much more spirited riding experience than the cruisers. Great job overall. Hope to see a Supersport version straight from the factory with 150 hp, complemented with further upgrades to the brakes, suspension and exhaust. Something to rival the Diavel and Rocket 3 in the power cruiser segment. I also think it would be great if Harley started building limited edition beastly motorcycles straight from the factory like Triumph does with its TFC line. I know there a dealer installed performance kits available but not sure if I would trust a dealership mechanic to rip apart my brand new bike.

Have the option of more conventional wheels and riding position and I’ll be thinking seriously! I hope you do well with this bike, finally HD is tackling the Europeans and Japanese head-on. I see the new engine apparently has hydraulic valve lifters like on my ‘91 1200XL I’ve owned since nearly new. Correct me if I’m wrong. Harley Davidson had to step it up again. I use to ride a 96ci, a 103ci, and now the Milwaukee 8 107ci street glide in 2017. The third year I owned my 107 I knew Harley would upgrade again and they did. This new Pan American & Sportster engine was a must and a forward thinking decision that’s gonna have this format phased into all future motorcycles made by Harley Davidson and it’s time. The day is over for hot air-cooled engines that vibrate and have technology still used from the 1950’s/1960’s and the Milwaukee 8 was the 1st step but long term smoother running & smoother shifting, more LED lighting and low maintenance bikes are now what the people wanted to see and not the old school motorcycle clubs and their wants holding things back. Positive change is what everyone demands from Harley Davidson branded bikes and not average and below the luxury standard and affordable. Lastly, I am sure many can concede that going into 2022 there is no reason HD engines should be so labor intensive to repair and service with a huge primary chain in oil, pushrods, rocker arms, lifters, and a hot but engine so now technology and common sense design has prevailed.
