Me too! I have commented many times over the years on the amazing combination of excellent top soil and an endless amount of shale fill. My home is on a lake, essentially on rock, and we have a 100 acre property about 70 miles north with beautiful trees, hills and ponds, but also mostly rock! Almost no top soil - and hard to believe that families scraped out a living on it two hundred years ago.

Looks good on the concrete pad for the firewood work. My piles are on the ground like everyone else's, a pad even 1/4 that size is something I should make one day. U-toob and FB are just heads on the same snake now. Truthfully I've watched YT channels like yours for several years now, instead of TV. Your "sitcoms" and shows are far more interesting and fun than anything on TV. Others feel the same way. That's why advertisers stuff commercials in all the videos now. I get it, pays the channel creators, YT makes money, got it, no problem. But now U-toob is a monopoly TV network that cancels pieces and parts of shows, neither the content creators nor the viewers have a say in that. Honestly everything in your videos is everything I used to watch on The Walton's on TV when I was young. Cutting trees and milling lumber, family and faith, hunting and living on vast amounts of wooded lands. Honestly yours and channels like yours are far more "wholesome" than others that don't get cancelled. Truly a compliment. Good on you guys for working hard and all the ups and downs of life. Plenty of us out here all doing the same thing.

I’m near Ottawa and I pass two dealers fairly regularly. Both have new full-sized Broncos sitting on the lot and have been for a while now. Saw one got a sold sticker this week, but the others are looking sad and lonely on the lot. One has got to have a 5” lift kit already added before leaving the lot! Weird, considering the difficulty Mike’s got getting his. Maybe a quick run across the border for Mike?

I enjoy to keep everything neat , in place, organized and operational. It become a challenge when you have 50k hectares. Whoa! 50,000 ha?? That’s over 120,000 acres! Almost 200 square miles! Yes, you do have logistics to worry about. You’d need multiple locations of equipment, dozens of tractors, and some of them really big ones, and a fleet of heavy transport trailers. What a job!

If it’s a perfect square with no unowned islands within, it would be 14 miles on a side. I have to drive my tractor in a road for 3 miles to get to the other end of our farm, and logistics is a substantial issue even then. Wow.

Have you considered putting a layer of pallets across the surface of the concrete pad? You would protect the surface from cracking when the pile is just starting and the wood splits smacking into it. It also would allow the airflow up from the bottom and help drainage. Just something to think about.

Good morning! We hit the 40’s overnight here in NCNC. Jeans and longsleeves for me this morning. I was wondering if Melissa had stopped the Firearm Friday, then you said you were putting hunting on the other platform, so decided that was it. Then Melissa said she’d done some more but they were hidden. So I think I’ll do some hunting in her MOTL space and find out for myself! Those are really well done videos; she’s very good in them. It’s pretty good to see the annex to the RRPC is paying dividends already. Quite clear how your vision works for you in the drone view. Extending the basket platform now is probably going to be appreciated later too. Nice!

If you git a Deer and an Elk , you will be able to make some excellent sausage. Just make sure you only use the scrap kind of meat from the elk because you definitely want roasts , steaks and and burger . It is some off the best tasting meat ever. Elk is very lean meat so good to mix some beef or at least a little beef fat in it as it cooks fater than beef .

There are advantages to using blocks to contain firewood but I really like using self standing corral panels. Let air through and can be moved around easily. Much cheaper than blocks where I live. Can see them on my Cord King demo video

Good point, but I think he is planning to scoop up the wood with the front end loader and you need something that can stay put for that.

I didn't know that about youtube and hunting. I'm a new channel and I was planning on doing some hunting videos this fall. Maybe I should reconsider.

Backyard Maine, I'm not into hunting, maybe if you do hunting just say in your title so people are aware of it.

@@chris3m98 Oh I would do that for sure but what I gathered here was that KZbin is penalizing channels who have hunting or firearm related content. I don't want to add a barrier to any future channel growth.
