"no time is a bad time to have soup" One time I was on a flight that was about 20 minutes from takeoff to landing, and there was this guy across the aisle from me who brought a whole ass bowl of soup on the plane. So he's sitting there slurping it while we're getting the security briefing and stuff, and I'm watching him and he's not even close to being done his soup there's still like over a half a bowl left. We start to taxi out of the gate towards the runway and he starts to realize that he severely misjudged his soup eating speed. He's panicking. I've never seen someone try to slurp soup so fast. We start to speed up to takeoff and I can barely watch but he decides its best to hold the bowl out in front of him to try to keep it balanced. Somehow, with the sheer grace of god, this dude managed not to get a lap full of soup during takeoff. Once the plane leveled off, he resumed his peaceful soup eating as if nothing had happened.
