Hi! I love your videos and wonder if you have any advice for lip balms. I've made 5 testers now and they've all come out grainy. My ingredients are not anything different from what anyone else is using. Thank you! 😊

my only advice is to make sure to melt them completely, I have heard beeswax needs to go to 165 or so, and then add any other butters to that once it is melted. I think cooling quickly helps too, but I have never put them in the fridge (my room is quite cool) but if your room is hot maybe try that - just make sure they are not steaming as you don't want condensation to get in the balms or they can go rancid quickly. Hope that helps at least some 🤗

I got so many tips, thank you so much! Standing on a pad will be a Godsend, send thank you! 😅🙏 You also helped me make a decision regarding labelling, thank you! 😄🌺 (And I don't feel such a failure after my HOURS' long attempt yesterday making 40 lip balms, seeing your 100 took 7 hours... I obviously was just overly optimistic as usual 😝😅)

LOL thanks for your comment - Those lip balms do take forever it seems - that is why we have to charge what we do...that 4 x your cost of goods does NOT work with something that takes all day 😂 I'm glad this video helped you in any way 💕

@@WalnutCreekBathBoutique I've been looking at getting one of those filling trays and if these sell well (and I try this again... 😅), then I will probably get one. You are so right about the pricing!! 😳 I'd thought they were shockingly expensive previously but have a better understanding now why. Thank you again!

Great recipe for lip balm’s… I will try these soon. Great tutorial! Love the idea of using the heat gun to melt up the sink holes! Maybe you could use the heat gun on the lip balm mixture to help remelt when you are pouring... assuming it will not melt that plastic pouring container! Thanks for the great video and the recipe.

Thank you for your comment! I actually did try the heat gun on the container... once LOL - it was more to clean it and it did pretty much melt the inner part of the container😂

Thank you so much for letting me know this! I checked and I guess the " / " at the end of the link was the cause. - it is all fixed (I hope LOL) thanks again!😊
