I feel like areas like this are often overlooked, but I always imagined the stairwell feeling more inviting and welcoming for people to walk into our basement and right now it’s just not giving that! And the way it was edited so that at first it just looked like Tina was walking up the stairs. So cute and funny and thank goodness you didn't fall.

Doing Some of these Lights upwards & others downward would also Look Very Good 👍 While it's giving Homage those Signature Hooks >> You're normally putting Your jackets onto in the Entrance Hall ❤ These Hooks, A Trademark "Signature Look like the Neutral Wood is Aesthetically Yours" !! It’s such a vibe now and has so much character and I feel those lights are reminiscent of theater lights which is cool cause it leads you to the home theater which I feel when you enter is gonna be so pleasantly unexpected. I was unsure of the wallpaper but it was such a good choice.

Tina - you never need to apologize for what you do or don't do! You have done an amazingly amount of work in just over a year-. Inside and out! I can hardly make my bed!! The staircase are looks so polished! The gallery wall is great! Why keep the the pictures in a box when they can grace a wall? Painting the railing black - would have never they of that - and it just works!! The sconces - LOVE THEM!! I am looking around to see where I could use them!! Brian! Looking trim! Love the riser upgrade idea and the other design ideas, too. Those lights are cool. A very gentle suggestion: caulk the edge of the wallpaper that meets the tread. I am thinking it will be beneficial because it will reinforce the edge’s adhesion to the riser which, in turn, will help protect that part of the wallpaper from becoming lifted, torn when the steps are vacuumed.

I have those same lights. They’re def a great solution when you don’t have (or want to) wire/plug in :) if jostled they do fall off the magnet thing so they can get damaged easily - but they’re also not super pricey so easy to replace. The recharge also doesn’t take that long and you don’t actually have to recharge that often - esp in areas you’re not using super often. ✨ great makeover!

I just painted the posts, newels, walls and ceiling in my stairwell. I got white stickers for the fronts of the stairs! I just finished painting today, so will clean the stairs and try out the stickers tomorrow. 😁

It turned out so good. Love the gallery wall and risers wallpapered! Our staircase was so boring so I hung a simple but colorful kite from the highest part of our ceiling. The pop of color is fun when you walk down. Those lights were genius too 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I have those lights in my bathrooms. Works perfectly for midnight pee breaks. The 3M tape on the back failed on all of them and I had to replace it with a stronger double sided tape. But the battery lasts FOREVER and they are so pretty when they turn on.

I honestly loved the look of the stairs how they were (except the broken part of course), I think the simple white and wood combination is so pretty.
