I was diagnosed with ADD, OCD, mild depression, insomnia, and an anxiety disorder. I was prescribed two medications per ailment. I had to take 10 pills, 2-3 times per day. It made me very anti-social, lethargic, and almost in a coma like state. Then one night I apparently went out driving at 1am and ran into a power line and took out a bus stop sign. I have no recollection of this at all because I was experiencing a severe sleep walking episode due to all of the prescriptions. That was the LAST time I ever took that crap from a pharmacy. I got my medical cannabis card and I have now replaced 30 dangerous pills per day by one medicine. I am no longer feeling any of my symptoms and can fully function. I finished school and am now a physicist. I would not have been able to do that while on all those toxic prescriptions. Cannabis is the healthiest substance on earth. We should love it. Everyone should.

They walk around town like zombies, and it is infuriating to see politicians/DEA straight up lie about a plant. They want you to believe that cannabis is drugs, and Big Pharmaceutical is medicine. It's the other way around... plants are medicine and their chemicals are drugs. People are finally waking up to this. Peace

I've been smoking daily for 15 years(to treat severe panic attacks) up until 10 days ago when I quit. I never thought there was REAL withdrawal symptoms, but I promise you, there are AWFUL side affects. I think Marijuana is a miracle when used appropriately, and with proper dosage and timing. Overuse, as I have learned, actually flips the situation and makes things worst. I realized that the medicine I was using to self treat was actually causing panic attacks and general anxiety. Moderation is absolutely key and I'm learning the hard way. The sad part is, with it STILL being federally illegal, it leaves almost no room for researchers to discover how beneficial is can be in moderation - but how bad quitting can be when overused.

Far more than so-called hard drugs, and for sure more under the radar when it comes to such, most / many people ridicule it's powers in this area, which just shows how little knowledge is often embraced towards the entire aspect.

My focus when im at home and not getting the things done that need done and even though i dont smoke at work, its driven me down a road of damn near incompetence. Weed, alcohol, really just about anything can be good or bad depending how much you choose to indulge yourself in, but most cant deal with consistent everyday smoking without it ruining them in some shape or form. Ive taken heavy notice not only from myself but looking around me at other fellow stoners just like myself, we can say were not addicted, that its fine but we lie to ourselves thinking we can control it. Those who do it RECREATIONALLY control it. Those who feel the NEED to just have a hit even just a few times throughout the day; just keep in mind its controlling you. Took a real hard long look at myself to figure that out. You dont need a hit or a glass of whiskey everyday to take the edge off. If you do, you are dependent.

I still have anxiety and some panic attacks only if the anxiety isn't under control, so I'm learning about my body each day, understanding the signals and I know when to light up and when to just focus on breathing, mediation, talking with my support system until I am good. My husband has seen a massive difference just in my energy and sleep. In the beginning I was irritable but I knew about the withdrawals because during my 11 years of taking antidepressants I stopped taking it for a few days on and off. I just didn't feel like myself while on those antidepressants, looking back at my childhood I never had any mental health issues, not until I was a sophomore in high school. So I question every day since being off my antidepressants was I misdiagnosed? I don't blame my parents one bit because they didn't know what to do and I truly think Drs just push these drugs for money instead of actually looking into the patient and understanding why they feel that way.

Just to force a point. Posting on KZbin will not make a difference. People have to stand up and lobby politicians. Tell them you have had enough of this. Show them that you have had enough. They will not be sweating reading comments here. Change will not happen unless you work to make it happen. I strongly believe that good citizens are not bad citizens because they use cannabis and to live in fear of a criminal record for using something relatively harmless is unacceptable. Do something about it!

Although this is an old post, your words are more true today than they were 2 years ago. Jeff Sessions is a dangerous corrupt man with power now. He is going to attempt to force the Federal government's punishment system on folks who have VOTED to allow cannabis in their state. Small government Republicans with an agenda...money. He is soaking in Big Pharma and private prison money. He is an awful man. Remember his little "JOKE"? He claimed he thought the KKK was alright until he found out they smoked marijuana..."nuff said.

I was diagnosed with anxiety & depression after awaking from a coma caused by a motorcycle accident that got me pulled from medical school. My pcp wanted to put me on an SSRI but already knowing the common potential side effects, I told her that I had it covered. She was so baffled & I asked her to remember what was one of the 1st things my lil brother told you when I was planning to join the family? I reminded her that my lil bro told her that I was a pot head through hs, but since I was a straight A student & a band geek, I never got in trouble for it.since I was a good kid. Marijuana has been legal in my Alaska since I was a kid. I use it medicinally only needing to medicate once or twice a month depending on what my body tells me where my cortisol levels are. Cannabis is medicine, not a drug!

I completely replaced lexapro for depression and painkillers for several painful injuries with the Acapulco gold strain of weed and my life is terrific now. Antidepressant withdrawl was the lowest point in my entire life and I was a full blown oxycontin addict 15 years ago so thats saying sonething...I smoke daily when I get home from work as despite the fatigues of the day it gives me great focus to plod theough my chores and get things done Less pain and less anxiety and depression, What more could I ask for? What more could anyone ask for really, on this lousy noisy stressful rock were all trapped on. I'm productive and chatty and work is going well (plumber). My kids love me and aren't afraid of me and my wife sees the improvement in my outlook and the way I flow through the world with ease now... And it doesn't seem to dull my emotions like the antidepressants did so I feel alive and human again. I treat it like a medicine and it treats me like the sick person that I am. Life changer for me personally. Highly recommend this strain in particular as It hasn't been messed around with and is an ancient strain. Try it, I think you might just enjoy it!

I suggest you read up on the effects of cannabis misuse. My son has been using this drug for over 25 years and it's made his anxiety worse! It has cost thousands of pounds too, not to mention it's illegal for a reason. He's at the stage where he can't function without it. 😢

Make no mistake, it was illegal bc Big Pharma couldn't profit from it. It being legal or illegal has nothing to do with the morality of it. Catching rainwater is also illegal lol.

cannabis users experience short-term memory problems; other studies suggest that cannabinoids impair all stages of memory. Young people who use the drug may be most at risk. A 2011 study suggested that memory impairment is more severe in adolescent cannabis users, and might even have a lasting impact. However, frequent users often become tolerant to the memory problems cannabis can cause.

I live in Canada and started using when it became legal. I have a broken hip and stenosis of the spine, and use cannabis capsules to sleep. Before using cannabis I seldom could go to sleep before 3 in the morning and some nights not at all. Now I take 20 milligrams, 4 capsules all together and go to sleep within an hour and sleep well every night. We live near a number of condos and it gets loud on Friday and Saturday and I used to get up. NowI just dont bother about the noise.

Hey man, I've been smoking from 16-19 and I've noticed a significant decline in my life too. I didn't care much for the lack of motivation and my health because I was so addicted. But once my cognition got affected, my iq, my memory, my lack of absorbing info and planning, I immediately quit. I did this because I was more miserable not feeling anything due to weed than I was being able to feel everything and think sober. I quit because I was scared my cognition would never recover so I had to give myself at least a shot to recover what I had lost. I realize before drugs I was beautiful and exuberant, and will never smoke weed again until I am 26. I quit 1 month ago, and recovered a little, but my cognitive abilities are still really poor compared to before doing drugs. I hope that with time, excericse, meditation, and hardwork, I can regain my love for life and and cognitive abilities - I suggest you do the same. Get weed out of your house dont buy and be stron
