Hey, may I ask why you're doing manual bevels as opposed to using the bevel modifier?

Just quicker on a small, simple model to do ctrl + B than to add a modifier.

yes crl r is called a loop cut

It was a loop cut they are super useful in blender to bend the shape and make it look bigger or smaller in one or 2 areas
