My parents were really poor back then. I remember not having a bedroom and sleeping in the living room area only. It stressed me tf out not having privacy. Because that were the only space that i sleep and study. Sometime i can't even do that because of too much noise especially when i a have a sister who's with a new born at that time. I remember crying to school because i didn't have enough sleep. Although it sucks i can't complain because they weren't be able to provide a room for me. However to owner i hope you would reconsider giving your kids a room of their own. Since you can afford it, why not sacrifice a little for your kids

- The male owner has only thought of his master bedroom privacy but what about his FOUR children? Imagine can't have a proper rest when the dining table is just right beside. Sure there's the curtains but it will not help to block out any noise. The kids are young so you can expect them to run around and laughing/shouting away most of the time. - Feel that the lightings are quite dim for the whole flat. Not good for the kids when doing homework at night. - Looking at the dark-colour design, the unit may not be well-lit by natural lighting during the day. Is that why the entire video is shot with curtains drawn? Not sure if the male owner has thought of the practicality of the design. This is more suitable for a short stay accommodation.

The money he spend on reno could have given his children a proper 5 room flat worth of space instead of that cramp, dank claustrophobic 3 room flat. 700sqft vs 1200sqft, the 500 sqft of space how well your children can study compared to this dinky dim 3 room flat. You know what's the worse part, you're a low floor, and whoever stay in a 3 room flat will pay for your mother of pearl fixtures? Whoever stay in a 3 Room flat either have the money and want to do their own reno, or can't afford to pay that markup. You reno a 5 Room flat, maybe someone with more money accepts such reno.

Other sort of maintenance aside from docking might cost about 3-4K per year if you don’t use them too frequently and avoided major malfunction. @c2474784264 жыл бұрын
well, it's not that huge actually. I have a friend whose house has the same layout so I can visualise it. No, it's not 'huge'. It's pretty cramped with their 2 toddler boys. And IMHO, I would rather get a larger 5 rooms or EA if I have 4 kids. Kids won't be forever kids. They'll grow and teens would need to have their own room to express themselves. Don't get me wrong, the design is fantastic! But not for family with 4 kids.

@adrianlee36354 жыл бұрын
I don't think this setting is a good idea...it's only the dream of one person without thinking ahead for all other persons living with him. Plus it would not have the resale value for a wider spectrum of people. Not many people I'm sure would like to live in a yacht all 24/7 of their lives without the ability to see the outdoor when window is closed constantly... electricity bill for lighting and air con would be very high, definitely high maintenance, plus having so much wood covering the house and ceiling also, in time you will get dust settling on your head, sofa, table, what a chore for maintenance and upkeeping. So the design looks good and classy but to do this on a level within a HDB home is totally not appropriate. When you come back from office or outside you would like to come back to a home not a hotel, a cruise yatcht trip environment, but simply a home.
