Really like this series . Can't wait for more fish finder videos

Just picked up my first fish finder a month ago and i couldn't of asked for better series. The main lesson now is keeping my face out the screen and lines in the water.

Thanks I just got my first boat with 2 12” lowrance gen 3’s and I’m trying to learn these things now. It’s a little frustrating but I’ll figure it out. Please keep them coming.

Take time to just spend on the water scanning and training your eyes.

Great video! I’m excited your taking the time to do these videos. FYI I’ve learned a lot watching your videos over the last 3-4 years. I’ve tried to go back and look at all of them but it’s just to much for this old man to soak up with out going on the water.

Thank you! I've watched so many different videos and you really helped break down what were seeing. Would love to see more! Maybe after identifying fish in different depths, how you target them afterwards? Love the content, long time subscriber!

Whenever I need a fish finder in my kayak I just hop in! Jk, nice setup!

Thanks Gene....I definitely look forward to more of these. I'm in the process of setting my HDS Live for Active Target 2 so could really use a few good tutorials specifically from you on that as well. You have changed my whole kayak fishing game over the years and I sincerely want to thank you !!!

Really enjoyed and need these types of videos. As a newer kayak angler with two graphs I value this information. Thanks man.

The series is great! Just wish to see what you are pointing at instead of your finger 🙂 As a suggestion - explain with words without pointing at the screen, and add arrows when you edit the video (similar to what you did at 2.18)

How much time do you typically spend graphing before you actually start fishing?

I always wonder how do you know if you're not looking at the same fish being pinged over and over. Question applies more to my traditional sonar view. You might think your seeing 5 or 6 fish but it's reallly only one.

I’m curious who Coastal Forklift is? What brand of forklifts do they sell/service? As a forklift technician I’m curious 🤔

Do you not use your fish reveal??
@Flukemaster6 ай бұрын
Nope.

Gene, don’t do this again. Your hand and fingers take the camera focus away from the screen and all we see is a jumbled background with your hand in focus in front of the screen. Better way is to log your sonar, then play it back at home and use a pencil or pointer to indicate places of interest. The topic is good, but the hand are very frustrating, distracting. If you don’t want to make comments afterward, try using a narrow pointer to point at the screen; maybe it would not pull the focus off the screen as bad.

I explain it better on the water. I'm going to start using a pointer, turn the auto focus off, and put the camera on a gimbal.

Really, if any angler needs 4,5,6 or more units on a boat or that whimpy forward facing junk they are no angler.
