Not a melee player and not a marth player but hearing you talk about how much you can do with a dynamic short hop and not locking yourself into the same pattern definitely helped open my eyes on something

I fsmash a lot when trying to fair after landing another aerial because I often press jump a frame before I become actionable. I'd like to think that's what happened at 3:35. It's interesting that I've only recently realized that most of the time I miss tech skill, it's because I'm inputting too _fast_ . Having that internal metronome going is imperative as I see it now.
