They chose that name because when Matt and Dom were living in Exeter briefly, they lived above a porn shop and in that porn shop was a Japanese porno called the rocket baby dolls

Muse started in 94. They had a lot of time to whip up songs like Plug in Baby long and Bliss before they could record them

Everyone went crazy about hearing B&H at 4:16 but I watched a video of a Muse gig in 1999 and suddenly Matt started to play PSYCHO RIFF!
@Stella-vp5zg4 жыл бұрын
Elisa Pajer yeah, they’ve played the Psycho riff for a very long time and apparently tried to make it into a song for quite a while too, but it’s only in 2015 that they manage to turn it into Psycho.

I liked the last song) They are so young! They don't have the instruments here but after hard work they became a legendary band! The best in the world! They inspire me, show that nothing is given easily. That you have to work hard to reach your dream, your desire. Now Muse is very big part of my life. I don't know how I lived without them so many years... For me they are Gods, Gods of Music!
@reese80502 жыл бұрын
Lol and the more instrument they got, the more they became less interesting.

What a wonderful-MUSEY-genuine story! So enjoyed seeing they guys of Muse as extremely young men, loaded with talent and energy. And they still are so very talented, of course, with all their terrific albums as evidence. Think that Matt is such a natural and knows what he wants to write, compose and perform, because that's what he feels on an emotional and intellectual level. sheer genius

Pretty sure Matt DID know what blues was. His father showed him a lot of old records, and he wanted to play in a jazz band before Muse. I guess he just didn't know what made Falling Down a blues song. In the same sense he was always surrounded by music, but didn't learn music theory until much later.

Wasn't showbiz their very first album? How could they already afford all this and why are they already being interviewed before even being a bit famous?
@danielmccarthy12569 жыл бұрын
Putzlumpen They got signed and were getting booked at a ton of gigs at the time. The label probably paid for a documentary or maybe it was Kirk doing it all.

Daniel McCarthy Thanks for the information, appreciate it!

Putzlumpen Also,..because they had been working their butts off, practicing, writing and playing anywhere/everywhere they could, they also worked other regular "day" jobs, too...when they were first starting out (even before they got signed I think?) so they could afford some things.

crazy to think that he had some basic ideas for what we now know as buttercanes all those years ago, considering buttercanes was one of the main songs that hinted at there progression and change of sound over time, very much a high contrast from the rest of the showbiz era material.

"If the drummer doesn't play very well, or the bass player" Hahaha he didn't say guitarist, pianist, or singer. Muse Fucking Rock!
@Atlas657 жыл бұрын
Because the drums and bass are usually the glue that holds the song together... plus it is really hard to fix guitar, while it is quite easy to edit the drums and bass.
