I like that even at their first show they were using smoke and color strobe lights. Special FX on point since 1994.

This video is purely gold. We must keep this video alive for as long as there will be life and intelligence.

It's great seeing some really early Muse online :) I'm going to try and get the video of the infamous 'Rocket Baby Dolls' battle of the bands performance from Teignmouth (I think Jan 94?). I know the person who has the original VHS (I did the lights at competition). It was their first ever performance as Matt, Dom and Chris. My friend just has to find the VHS in his collection.... Wish me luck.

OMG I wish you all the luck there is in this universe. And tell us when you find it (or when you're sure it's lost forever)!

I really want to see that. Hope you find it

The video definitely exists (according to the daughter of the person who has it), but before I try to track it down, I've tried to get in contact with Muse to see if they want it uploaded (I've just sent Tom Kirk a PM on facebook). My hazy memories of that day don't match up to the lore that surrounds that gig, and I think a number of concerts/battle of the band incidents have been rolled into one legend... and I don't want to be the one that destroy that legend.... Hopefully Tom will get back in contact soon once he's asked Matt, Dom and Chris for their input.

So this was already Muse, not Rocket Baby Dolls, am I right?

Yes
@Stella-vp5zg5 жыл бұрын
ale14zoppi it was Muse for the first time. They felt like Rocket Baby Dolls didn’t fit in with the other bands that were all grunge and punk, although they sounded pretty grunge themselves in that gig, so they decided to change the name and it was the first time they were ever called Muse.
