I found freezing fruit really wasn't helpful 😞 leaving the fruit unfrozen and fresh really helped with the detail
@nancykelly97123 жыл бұрын
Freezing causes condensation and makes the fruit unstable and go mushy. Everything needs to dry and firm to get a good imprint to remove.

Thank you Keeley for sharing! So kind of you! 🤗 Love your vídeos!! You make it look so easy! I've been wanting to make berries molds too and you have inspired me!! 💕 I do have a quick question...I want to make a raspberry mold, but can't figure out how to hold it in the container, because I want the little hole of the raspberry imprinted in the mold, maybe its not a big deal, but I'd like to know what tips you'd have for that one, I'd really appreciate it!! Have you made a raspberry mold Keeley? Thanks again !!
@SoyandShea5 жыл бұрын
Thank you Gina ❤ Pinkysil is the easiest mould making material I have worked with. I have made a Raspberry mould and it is best to use fresh raspberries. If you are wanting to mould the Raspberry with the hole, you will lose another part like the top or side. Because they are a small and delicate fruit, it would be fiddly to make a full 3D mould. Like I did with the other fruit you would glue the raspberries into your mould with the hole either pointing up or laying the raspberries on their sides. Just keep in mind the weight of the silicone may distort the fruit. I made mine so that I put glue around the hole and stuck these down. I then got a whole Raspberry and when I want the extra detail of the hole, I get one of the cake/clay decorating tools to scoop the hole out. Hope that helps and makes sense.

Hi there! Great, really great video! Just have a question, if I try to do a mould and I run out of pinkysil during the process, is it possible to add more pinkysil after the first part is already dry? Or it has to be all at the same time? Thanks for the info and your work ♥
@SoyandShea4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching ❤ as long as you work quickly enough, you can add more silicone to what has been poured but you need to do it before it fully sets. If it's full set, the layers won't bond so you'll have a hole.

You should do a video on how you would make a macaroon mold :-) I priced a few on ebay and amazon and they are really expensive and the molds are tiny. Wondering how you would make one. Do a video for all of us :-) Please :-)
@SoyandShea4 жыл бұрын
I would make a macaroon the same way. I would buy some, split them in two, put in a casting mould and pour silicone. However, the cost of buying the fresh macaroons is far more than buying a ready made mould.
