It's pretty amazing how despite this game being 11 years old, it still has a pretty active modding community. I would have purchased this game earlier if I had known Sims 4 would be such a flop and Sims 3 would be still so active.

Same, in Sims 4 the characters felt stiff and restricted even with mods. I bought Sims 3 like a week ago and i never had so much fun on there. Sims 3 has more detail and is just simply a more ambitious game.

The look of the sims in Medieval is incredible! A huge improvement considering it uses the Sims 3 engine. I love the "painted" look and the option to make skin naturally flushed and freckled. Even with limited hair and clothes, you can make some seriously cute medieval sims.

It's incredible Sims 3 CAS is still more realistic and user friendly than Sims 4 CAS. Plus, it has the create a style tool and much better skintones. Sims looked like little animated humans and not cartoons.

Really?🤔 I always found the Sims 4 CAS waaay easier to use and navigate then the Sims 3 its probably because I first started out with the Sims 4 then started playing The Sims 3 after also I always found the color wheel a little laggy(ps.not trying to hate just saying)

@@DamzelNDistress Don't worry. I guess a certain CAS is easier if you are more used to it. Sims 3 has sliders an you just have to select an icon to personalize everything. In Sims 4, I still don't know how to separate eyes or how to make the dot of the nose more rounded. Despite improving the jewelry and adding different body shapes (that are not so realistic), TS4 deleted colour wheel and the faces looks to plastic and cartoonist. The haircuts are awful and hair doesn't look realistic. I remember when EA offered Sims 4 CAS in 2014 for free to buy the game, and I didn't understand it, so I didn't buy the game that year. I guess I was very used to TS3 CAS. However, TS4 has improved the build mode a lot. Personally, I am not a Sims 4 hater, I just feel it's disappointing and it deleted many things from previous versions. However, I appreciate the improvements in other aspects like a more intuitive build mode, new skills and tasks after work.

@@arieltales8952 I feel the same in some aspects but you are right because I'm used to TS4 rather than TS3 CAS it's probably easier for me to play around with it then you are even though in my opinion I think all my Sims look exactly the same but yes when I first started playing TS4 I didn't like the way the hair looks cuz I thought it looked clay-like now I guess I'm used to it so it doesn't bother me as much as it used to don't get me wrong I do like Alpha hair like they had in TS3 I have a mix of both in TS4 but since my Sims 3 game is kind of laggy I don't download custom content I've never really liked the hair in TS3 but that again probably is because I started out with TS4 first and I said no hate in my original reply because you never know how people take things on KZbin comments some people are very "sensitive"😒

Sims 3 mods snd custom content are just a blessing for the sims 3 community. I don't mind the vanilla sims. In my opinion they already look a little bit realistic. But with the helping mods and CC the sims look so much better and more realistic. Especially Alpha CC looks really good on the sims in the sims 3 because maxis already looks a little bit like Alpha CC. Honestly, I only play with CC clothes because they look more modern and more realistic and I couldn't live without CC :D

Also the CAST for any item/furniture, awesomesauce. You want a hotpink zebra TV set? Go for it. Want a car covered with rubber ducks? CAST it.. I love BurntWaffles too! I dont use those eyes anymore I use the more realistic eyes by burntwaffles because bruno's dark brown eyes just look more grayish. And I use default body hair and default shorter eyelashes

My least favorite thing about a lot of replacement skins is when they make I so your sims have the same nose details. I prefer skins that don't have overly detailed noses so I can add different nose masks to each of my sims myself. Keeps everyone looking a little more unique :)

5:50 You need to delete the Cache files in the WorldCaches folders if you're playing in a custom world (or Store world) for the changes to take effect. The cache files in the main directory are only used for EA default worlds (both BG and EP worlds).

I really suggest everyone to get AWT's eyeball mesh replacement. It comes with his eye slider set and dramatically changes eyeball texture mapping which results in absolute improvement in both default and custome eye textures' appearance

Literally because of your videos I went BACK to playing sims 3 again after playing sims 4 for a long time and just trying to find enjoyment in the game by digging my way through 100s of cc and mods added into that game. Personally, I never really noticed anything too off-putting about the Sims 3 graphics until I saw other people commenting on them in relation to Sims 4. I'm not the type of person that really cares about graphics if the gameplay is fun enough, so I probably won't be downloading these myself but it's cool that you put this up. Hopefully, making people aware of these mods will get more people to play the Sims 3 and appreciate what a great game it is, because I hate that something as superficial as graphics is preventing some people from playing it (and yes, I have heard some people that play Sims 4 say that they don't want to go back and play Sims 3 just because they think the graphics are ugly.)

I really wish Sims 4 had the ability like 3 when you use The Master Controller Mod by Twallan to have multiple accessories/makeup in the same slot.
