This is such a fantastic lesson. The added details to Snake and Rooster are super helpful. Makes the moves more fun, too. I like that you show how we can make a drill of these moves. Many thanks!

Have to try this right now. This is so simple!. From the video, the key to performing The Rooster Screams at the Rising Sun is simple - raise your body. So my energy is still coming from my waist. This simple revelation has just improves my execution of this form. Many thanks.

This lesson brought up a few ah ha feelings- Putting a smile on my face is easy ...it's my defense and way to protect me from a connection to what is really inside...another way to disconnect when I feel too much in my heart and whispers turn to beating drums. The conversation or people get to close to my heart I pull away...with a smile. A smile puts people at ease and changes the energy. "Keep both front door & back door open and let thoughts and feelings come in and pass through freely, just don't serve them tea" ...I think I may need to open the basement door and the closets too.

So far, the main "problem" is that first 180 degree turn kick. About half the time I have to put down my foot. This is not to say that I don't need work on other moves but that that one really stands out when it fails. For some reason this snake and rooster move works for me. There are a couple of moves that seen to have a life of their own and this is one.

When transitioning from Single whip to Snake creeps down, How do you pivot the back foot with it loaded? , also , if I begin the form from the second or third part, is there a proper way to commence, or can I begin from Carry tiger to the mountain. Have a great day and Thank you.

Great question! Here's a bit of the secret - make sure the weight is transferred into the HEEL of the back foot. Then it can pivot easily even while bearing weight. As to beginning the form from the second or third section. You can actually start with Open the Door, and then make your next move Carry Tiger to Mountain. Hope that helps!
