Hi Erica. I learnt from another you tube video that it is best to establish your base wick first, meaning to do an initial wick testing without fragrance so that with time during production or further testing, you can easily pick when the fragrance is the problem. Remember that different FOs have different properties and may affect the candle burn differently
@lilycruz-justiniano95892 жыл бұрын
👍 Wade Thomas from Black Tie Barn suggests doing this and it does make testing easier.

Dang you’re totally right! I think Kevin from Armatage candle company also recommends this as well!

Great advice to buy 1 16oz frag oil instead of going crazy. It's smarter to start out that way and very pocket friendly bc candlemaking is not a cheap hobby or business venture.

I love this wax. I'm a master with this wax. I like CDN however, there is one that is amazing amazing when burning. CDN gets the wax hot and doesn't throw too well. I can name you 2 I use for this wax that will perform 💯. It took me a year to get the formula.

Hi Edgar, would you mind to share the wicks you’re using with this wax, I doing some testing right now, but any seems right. I have a 3 and a 4 diameter jars with a 8% FO at 190f. Thank you!

Hi Edgar. Would you be so kind and share with us the kind of wax that works with this wax? Just starting out and been testing different waxes and wix since December and have not yet decided on launching anything yet.
@edgargarciahernandez24762 жыл бұрын
@@paulinaagudelo6243 I actually use Eco wicks if it's a soy blend or you can also use believe it or not LCS but wick down or HPSP but wick up. I think 9% Is fair enough for a stronger throw. I mix at about 195 and pour at like 180.
@edgargarciahernandez24762 жыл бұрын
@@jenniborja2883 Well it depends on your brand luxury you want to go with more natural waxes such as apricot coconut wax, Virgin Coconut wax, Soy bliss wax, or Coconut beeswax. Non luxury you can do igi 6006, soy 464, pro blend. That would be my suggestion. Wicks all vary on wax you choose. You also want to focus on oils if you want luxury go high end don't do the cheaper kind. If you go budget friend line than go with the more affordable one. That's my suggestion and previous experience.

Hi regarding reusing the jars - I have been told not to reuse jars that been filled with wax and burned once already especially not if you want to sell them. The glass can shatter easily apparently. Anyone heard same thing?
@lilycruz-justiniano95892 жыл бұрын
@Kat Von Ober I've always heard the same, so I only reuse for testing, which is actually what she's using them for.

Hi Erica. Love watching your videos and i am learning soooo much. i did have one question for you. When doing my testing i noticed that my candles are cracking at the top and arent coming out smooth like i wanted. I used American Soy Organics- from Freedom Soy Wax Beads that i bought on Amazon but not sure if its the wax. I looked up online what could be the reason and i checked all of what i could find and tried it but they still keep cracking up and not really as smooth as i want them to be. Would you be able to tell me if you had those issues as well with cracking and also idk if you get a lot of this question but if you could make a video about it if its a topic worthy of it of course but any pointers and advise would be very much appreciated by you or anyone else that has had issues with that. Thank you and always love watching your informative videos ❤
