I have the photo chromatic powder and a heat sensitive powder (I mixed into white/clear paint) and I made a magic wand using them! It looks like a plain white wand, but as you hold it the area where your hand is warms up and turns one color blue and then when you get it in the sun the rest of the wand reveals swirls and stars and stuff in another color blue/green! It's so fun and magical! I have it in what usually is an incense box but works perfectly as a wand box and if you open it on a warm sunny day it's *chef kiss*

Sand paints, a.k.a. textured paints, have been around for decades. I refurbished a Victorian home in Southern Indiana and painted the entire interior of the home with sandy textured paint. The walls were plaster, so it gave it a very warm, comfy feel that blended well with the style of the home. Works really well with a Tuscan design too.

Sand paint has been around for many many many years. Have been an art teacher for 27 years. I have bought it along with many other wonderful mixing mediums forever I've made all kinds of Saint paints and others my favorite is round tiny pebbles from the beach mixing green paint and you have natural-looking Moss to paint on panoramas. Liquitex has wonderful mixing medium products check them out. All kinds of mediums to look textured like all natural materials. Various kinds of snow and ice. You can mix spices etc into paint and get amazing textures.

Those both turned out great! 😍 You've both gotten much better with actually using your DIY paints. 😁👍 I do want to suggest to Katelyn that if she's going to mix a lot of a custom color for a background, like in her painting this time, to mix it in a little airtight paint pot (or at least a wet pallet with a lid) so you can seal it up when done and keep any leftover paint for patches and/or repair work while creating. Would have saved a bunch of remixing time. 😅 I was actually kinda hoping you'd do the quote in the Nueral White and then borrow Evan's "blood" glow paint to do the word "mad" and maybe also some on the tip of "Malice's" nails too but then I thought it wouldn't show up as well on the glowing background and was glad of the choice made, lol. BTW, did you know that the brand Let's Resin came out with a container mold that actually looks like a giant D&D dice? You might want to get one (or more) and possibly use it to make a storage container (or several) for your dice collection. It's really cool! 😎

I think it would be so cool to take these paints and apply them to every day items. It could even be useful to signal to someone this way are being exposed to UV outside. What if you carried a water bottle that changed color depending on the intensity of the UV rays? That would be so cool and useful! All this assuming UV light you used in the video is similar to the harmful UV rays of the sun.

After hearing about Fortnite, I decided to check it out - ended up removing it as it's a fighting type game. If I had enough memory, I'd love to play Minecraft - esp. the newer version. I like the crafting type of games (unless I play match-3, or hidden object types). I get my 'fighting fix' watching you guys play them (when there's building things also involved). // You're my go-to for what is called ASMR (but I call W+R - watch and relax). // Worm? Nah, don't see it. I thought, when you started Alice, that the background should be first (doesn't Bob Ross do the furthest scenery first?) - that's what I do when I do my Adult Coloring pages or any paint-by-number that has a definite background to the main item(s). Kaitlyn was a 'graphic artist?' so she knew how to do art, but, Evan, did the Bob Ross tutorials help you to do 'realistic' paintings? Like this ocean/beach one? The Cheshire Cat is solid but when he disappears, his smile and eyes are the last thing to go. Some of his smiles are just square teeth but the best are pointy teeth - usually his eyes are shown. // I'm still waiting for Alice's eyebrows - yellow to match her hair (black makes it look like she dyed her hair yellow and forgot her eyebrows). // I still have my old 'Fireball XL5' pencil case from grade school. Wonder if it's worth anything (if I could find it, that is).

boaters use sand with paint all the time. they will lay down a fresh wet layer of epoxy paint, then pour dry sand all over it. once cured, they push broom and or vacuum the excess sand up and then they put another coat of epoxy down. it makes an anti-skid surface so they don't slide off their wet boats, very important for sailors in motion who need to adjust something outside of the cockpit. also if they used clear epoxy they usually do more then 1 layer so it doesn't look splotchy. i decided if i ever needed that myself i'd use glow in the dark sand.

You two are so entertaining even when you're just painting. It's really interesting watching your concepts come to life, and then when you run into issues, how you work to solve them. That's going to help me when I'm doing things. To be patient and trust the process. Your instincts are dead on both of you because both of your paintings are beautiful. I would love to see prints for sale because I would buy both. They're remind me of the paintings in the haunted Mansion when you're going to the hallway before you get on the Doom buggies. like Disneyland when you go through the Haunted Mansion hallway and they show those pretty pictures that change with the lightning frightening . I love those and I think beautiful yours are both creepy and Beautiful. The we're all mad here during the day it kind of looks almost like a design. You can't really quite read it but then the UV lights it up and it all comes together. Evan, I love sharks and they need to eat too. Your boat is a bit foreboding because it's empty and there's sharks all around. And when you were going to change the light sand, I was thinking oh no." But I stand corrected that blending of the middle color made it perfect. You are the only creators that I can watch an entire stream even if it's 5 6 7 hours. I don't care. I'll sit there and watch it. I love it.❤❤❤ by the way, Kaitlin, if you ever find that you need to organize something, I will send you my address . When you have a paint that's dried out, you can try adding an airbrush leveling/thinning agent. (Mr. Color products work best for me) Mix it in conservatively until you get a desired consistency. Your mixing machine will help tremendously with this process. Hope that helps! 👍

You might even want to add it into a different container, small glass bottles..or plastic bottles are fine, just find an appropriate size for what you're mixing.

I used to have a shirt that had a similar thing on it, where it looked plain indoors, but there was a whole nature scene that was only visible outdoors.
