Making the intake Manifold

that part started life on the factory EFI manifold, i just cut the flange off and welded my runners to it. not much math involved, just looked at what other people had done and had success with. thanks for watching!

@0S7VN0 by intake runners i meant the "plenum" or the piece that connects directly to the heads. Ive heard of people cutting them off intake manifolds is that what you did?

I have made aluminum intakes for the AU 250, Each will have six Mikunis, Two motors will then be connected inline for a "straight twelve" with 12 Mikunis.......JR

@clipper351 Thanks for the comments Mate. I dont have much experience in sheet metal, I cant weld ally for shit, so i pretty much cut out all the peice asnd jigged it all up and got someone to weld it for me. I only have a Mig welder to, so much easier to pay someone else to do the actual welding

Aren't 40mm runners abit too small? What engine size, rev limit and power does it have?

@0S7VN0 ahh sorry Bud, yup, started out as an EFI Flange, i hacked it up and welded directly to it. Ive filed all the welds now so the transition from the seamless tube to the cast flange looks all one peice

ya Ive made my own 12a turbo manifold ss304 grade. but its not nice working on alloy. but ya Ive also made my own flanges for my turbo plus exhaust. did not even get help, all by my self first time now im going to fined some v band clamps for my gt42 still not finished yet

should have extended the runners past the base of the plenum and had sort of velocity stacks inside the box

how do u calculate the plenum dimensions? I understand calculating a tuned length of an inlet or exhaust, but a plenum with its space inside sounds complicated!? Or did u calculate the length of each inlet and attach plenum to inlet stubs or trumpets?

Ayush Atts 1.5 to 2x engine capacity. Once over about 2.5ltr engine size. It's less than the above.

looks like my 4.9 in my f150 but all custom. im not sure how the gas is going to flow into the cylinders being sideways like that. i wanna do same with my truck but im gonna use a offenhauser custom intake with external fuel pump

+joey lenseigne Notice at the beginning of the video there are injector bungs on the flange for port fuel injection. The fuel will spray onto the back sides of the valves directly in the intake port.

wow I fill like crying, I think its the music that had me dreaming. nice work that also loved it MAN its to good but only if its worth something other then that. will lose time how much could something like that cost. i think ill be done and finished with in 1 week that should cost $1000 item only not installed that will be anther $500 1 days work. i hate material cost it kills me and layber is cheep as shit i have a project car i wanna work on but i can barely survive. i wont to start modifys.
