For those who want less dramatic purpoising and shake: If the car porpoises up and down too dramatically, you can lower the second value from "slow response gain" to 0.01 or 0.02. If the shake frequency (affecting how fast and sharp you upshift) is too much, you can lower the last value from "slow response speed". I hope this help!

Game devs nowadays thinks that putting a camera stabilization on racing games makes it look better but in reality, it's the opposite. A shaky camera feels and looks better
@SliderHarDCorE2 жыл бұрын
What is shown here is the most UNREALISTIC thing that can be done to your/our brain/brains !!! As the author himself admits at the beginning - "Head and eyes are stabilized in the real life" (so YOUR VISION IS STABLE in line with movements of the car and your body), because they are parts of our body. In accordance to that - there is no point of treating them as a completely separate parts and simulate moving them in space while the rest is still ! Our brain will always recognize this as a false signal, therefore shaking only the camera (which means shaking the world around us instead of our body) will never make sense as a simulation of sudden movement ! It is like sending conflicting simulation command signals through only one sense channel (vision) while all others receive a completely different and similar signal. The result is - that anomaly is always flagged as false and some brains can tolerate it for long time, while others reject it fast and make the person sick to stop it. For successful simulation through only one sense you need to shut off all others that can affect it or make them part of it directly in the brain. 😁 Shaking the virtual world instead of you will never make anyone subconsciously feel realism, no matter how strong the person is consciously trying to fool his brain in to it. 🤣
