As an industrial product designer, this is really impressive. The exposed PCB and having only one way to hold it makes it not an option for me, but the continued weight and geometry optimisations across the different versions have been just crazy to follow along. One thing I can offer advice on, is that since you're using 3D printing anyways, You should offer a left handed version as well, from what I've seen of the PCB and 3D model, it seems as simple as mirroring the shell, so might as well go the extra mile to not exclude any of the already very niche potential customers. Also, if your 3D printing partner offers that option, different colors of Nylon could be nice, especially if finalmouse can make different colors of PCBs to match the shell.
@travisc840627 күн бұрын
I agree it might be a great option! but if you were to make a left handed version you might have to flip the pcb as well because of the button placement which is a massive headache and much more work than simply mirroring the design
@ledocteur770127 күн бұрын
@@travisc8406 Unless I'm missing something, the button placement seems fully symmetrical, it's the shell that varies in height, but the actual contact with the buttons is at the same height and position on both side. And although the attachment arms to the PCB are shaped differently since they don't connect on the same spots of the shell, the PCB itself has fully symmetrical attachment points.

As a lay person I had a similar assessment regarding the PCB - to me it would be worth sacrificing an additional gram or two and have an ABS/acrylic cover over the board. It looks great but it would get dirty easily and be a pain/risk to clean, and I wouldn't be confident about the durability of the product. I'd love to see a drop test as well, seriously doubt this mouse will handle the minor impacts of falling off a desk onto a hard floor that most full-bodied mice can easily take. Just my 2c, otherwise I think its an ingenious product that optimizes one design spec really really well.

@@maggi98mw I get what you're trying to say, but it's not necessarily the whole truth. A tiny bit of Inertia evens out your movement, without it you rely entirely on your muscles to stop precisely at the right position and we're not robots with micrometer precision. You might be fine for a couple of years when you're in your prime, but as you get older it could affect your accuracy. At 20 grams, any inertia caused by the mouse will likely be negligible compared to what your hand provides, meaning there will be very little (if anything) to gain from going lower.

As someone who switched from controller to MnK at age 33 I have become obsessed with aim trainers and improving my skill set in games like Halo and Gears of War. Cant wait for the launch of the newest iteration of the Zeromouse. I expect this thing to move across my glass mouse pad like a puck would across an air hockey table. Very exciting innovation.

I assume it’s a royalty free song from a music library somewhere because I’ve heard it in other videos too. I know jxmyhighroller uses it in pretty much every video

Fantastic work of engineering by yourself. Truly impressive what you have been able to achieve in the computer hardware space.

Looks amazing! Sadly it is probably impossible to get for people in the EU. Even if EU shipping is available, it will most likely cost more than the mouse itself (shipping + import tax). Such a bummer, as always. Love the video and product though :)

@ it says sold out on the link for the product page, with the price $150. I assumed i missed it but "sold out" seems weird if it's a live product page that's not enabled.

@@turn1p I think he just listed it with stock set to zero in the backend. Wouldn't make sense for him to not mention that it's available for pre-order in the video.

Insane how? Regular, mass produced mice like g pro superlight, razer viper pro has an MSRP of $160. The price is great for a bespoke, small-batch product designed for purists.

3D printed, low volume, make sense.

crazy cheap yeah, same price as other mass produced lightweight mice for a low volume custom product. idk how he's gonna make a profit on this, i would've expected to pay $450+

Honestly, I’m just glad that this is something that can be made by hobbyists if they go through the printing process (obv you can’t get the dope PCB but at this point I’m so done waiting for my M3K that I’d much prefer using something like this)
@fabiocarra199727 күн бұрын
i don't even play fps anymore but i'm hella excited for this thing mainly because in the last year or so i've purchased my frist 3D printer and started to design my first thing and can't even imagine how can you feel to have you're product being this successful

I love that finalmouse will be making this a standalone pcb through this. I think this could really be a game changer if people embrace the idea.

I squeeze my mouse to hard it would break in an hour. Looks amazing and congrats on the collab.
@doanle128226 күн бұрын
Given how light this mouse already is, I think it would be really neat to try printing a one off metal version. Normal mice can’t be metal but I’m sure this one could and would still be realistically viable. It would go against making a super light gaming mouse, but I’m sure it’d make for a really sweet looking piece of tech - especially if you post process it nicely. Super impressive stuff!
@krislaarmann710222 күн бұрын
I really recommend adding more fillets in corners. It will make your mouse structure a lot better in different load cases etc. Sharp corners are stress concentrators.
@kouheimasseyАй бұрын
Side buttons would affect aim on that weight but side buttons are usually used when you don't need precise aim, e.g. melee at the end of a kill, crouching to rotate pre fight. Even non-mouse switch buttons would work since they're not that frequently used, just those square half size switches with a little paddle

Congrats man, inspiring to see how you just couldn't help going back over and over to make a better version. 🛠 The zeromouse is your Iron Man suit.
@ansemvanverte20 сағат бұрын
i'd like a full shell version of this if possible. i know that'll add weight, but it's already so light i can't imagine a thin plastic shell will add THAT much weight, and it'll be much easier to clean and look cleaner.

i LOVE the zerömouse v.35 ! It was not cheap too complete with high polling but man my hand loves you bro ❤ One of the first mice ive never had any trouble with grip hand fatigue or aiming hitches with ! I dont feel my grip weaken, because i aint use it. Now the preassure is so evenly laid down from my shoulder its scary , I remember death gripping my old mouse so much just to "get around" the shape that was holding me back in thight spots And with v.35 modkit i have no trouble I main it . AND AM SATISFIED BEYOND MY IMAGINATION headshot whatever i can click it fast as heck
