I am an armchair fabricater. That's exactly how I would have done it in my dreams. I cannot even solder 2 wires together, never mind create something like that. Hopefully next year when I find my van I will going down the same route. Good luck and keep up the good work. Watching your Channel for inspirations.

This video should be on their site. For most people a wheel carrier is a wheel carrier. So it's really hard to tell what makes a good one. I could tell from all their instas they had a good one. But the hardest bit to understand is why. Literally no info on their site. This explained it perfectly!

I can’t think of a stronger place to put it and there are plenty of these vans off roading for the past few years so I guess it’s the best option available Also the strength of the Merc parts isn’t in the same league as defender engineering

Looks cool, not sure if you’ve done the hinge yet but are you putting on a new ‘L’ bracket hinge so it steps the door out tacking in the extra distance for the wheel?
