Making The World's Largest Purpleheart Table: Full Build Video

This is the worlds biggest purpleheart exotic table.
Finished with ‪@Odiesoil‬ , Odie's wax, and boos block mystery oil
The top is 2 inches thick, 52 inches wide, and 12ft long. the base is made of purple heart and zebra wood 6x6s and a solid zebra wood shelf. The whole things weighs around 1000 pounds. Outfitted with outlets, lights, casters, and adjustable feet this is the ideal work table for ‪@TripleLRusticDesigns‬

you just need a 24" x 300" all joking aside im surprised no one makes a jointer bigger than 16" from what ive seen anyway. i upgraded from a cracker jack porter cable 6" bench top turd, to a 8" grizzly with a helical cutter head, i got the paralellagram one that has 76" total bed length. longest bed ive seen is like 83" felder group makes a nice jointer planer combo setup that has a relatively inexpensive way to get into a 16" jointer. they even offer bed extensions which is something that ive not seen the jet combo offered with. its the hammer a3 41.

What kind of applicators do you guys use for your wax?

nice work, thanks for the video. What do you put on the purpleheart to keep it from turning brown? Everything I ever made from it always turns a rich brown color over time.

I think it’s just a matter of how long can you make it last. We use finishes that block UV. in this case: 3 coats odies oil, odies wax, boos mystery oil.
