The original creator for the book table was an Etsy artist from San Francisco named Jane Dandy. "The one photographed here is the one I made for myself and was meant to capture a moment in my life. All the books in this table are about architecture and capsulize the years I spent studying architecture in the San Francisco Bay Area."

Girl... Not going to lie, everything int his entire video is a whole mood. The undertones of the bleh time of year after the come-down from the holidays, the laying in bed with the fur babies with the blackout curtains shut, the project stopping points that can feel so incredibly difficult to overcome... This feels like a REAL video, if that makes any sense? The way it was presented, the lighting, the voiceovers, the frustrations of decision making when you're stuck... it's as brilliant as THAT FREAKING LITERAL COFFEE TABLE BOOK TABLE. This is by far one of the most personal videos this channel has ever put out and I feel so much comfort and less alone than i did a half hour ago knowing that I'm not the only one in this season of life. Cheers! Well done! [ ETA: STILL I am floored over the industrial piercing through the table for future modifications. I saw that same table, LOVED IT, and was immediately like "That is a static piece, like an art installation. It is meant to be a time capsule in a way, which is very permanent, so that wouldn't work for me," since, like you said, books come in so many different shapes and sizes. I am L I V I N G, QUEEN

Weather featuring a personal interest (design, travel, etc) or family legacy (I'm a mother of ten. I'd adore a Book Table for their baby books and their favorite childhood books.) Dreamy design. Hi Becky, You inspired me to find a copy of "Tomorrow's House" by Nelson and Wright as I share your love of mid century design, probably because I was born in 1951 it was around me as I grew up I LOVED it. My parents didn't share my obsession but so much of furniture design leaned that way we had a few pieces all loved by me. Much to my sheer delight when I received my well worn copy there were notes through out it. My guess is that the woman, Mary Fessenden 1946, that owned the book noting she had moved to Washington, DC from Bethesda, MD. The part that I LOVE is she taped newspaper clipping from 1944 with GREAT pics of furniture and houses, 7 in total. She listed her address as well. I googled her addresses to see if she built a mid century modern house. She didn't. Perhaps she loved the design furnishing her houses. Thanks for posting the your find of Tomorrow' House. Now I have a copy. Appreciate what you do!

Fantastic results! I love that you found a paint colour that blended so well with the cane. My only recommendation for that piece is to add some cane cording along the cut edges so they're not quite so messy. But otherwise, you nailed it! Super cute result! Also, that book table is amazeballs! Can't wait to see the update when you seal it and add the glass. And I LOVE your solution to holding all the sheets of plywood together - genius! Becky….so So fantastic!! That book table is absolutely fantastic and your change up of making it much more flexible with the extended screw pieces is just brilliant! I can see that becoming the hot new piece of furniture for 2022 and everybody’s gonna want one! So especially cool because each one would be customized to the books that one treasures….. Great tip about the cane as well I’ve always been really intimidated by possibly trying to retain some chairs but with your hint about soaking it in warm water and that allows for the tension to re-create once it dries I am feeling a little bit more courageous. Thank you!!!
