Making TOP GUN Maverick Diorama

Hi, it's not a ship this time. Surprised? I saw Top Gun 8 times in the movie theater last month. So I decided to make something and that's the result. I copied a lot of poster scene. Sometimes you can make different genres like this, so keep that in mind. Thank you!

Near perfect, just needed a bit of tyre deflation to give the feeling of weight. You have Tom at the correct small scale, nice.

Yeah it was kind of weird how he put a 1:1 Tom Cruise next to a 1:72 or 1:36 plane. Though picking the model "without sunglasses" was an odd move.

I have been thinking about buying that kit (the Hobbyboss F/A-18E) and now seeing what you have done with one, it is WOW well worth the effort to buy it! An excellent build and a lovely photoshoot with it. EXCELLENT!

This is a well executed plan for a diorama. You have posed the flight controls exactly as they would be in a shut down jet. Perfect photography completes the effect. Never disappointed by your efforts.

WOW theres a lot of pieces in that box !!! Best Maverick I have seen so far , 😍😍 I wish they would put pilots in them , it just seems mean -given the high cost of kits these days (over £40.00 in the UK !) , I like to build "in flight" which means aftermarket figures , also extortionate prices !!

I have this two piece set that I plan on building as the one Owen Wilson was in, Behind Enemy Lines, and the one he was in, in the behind the scenes featurette. I also have two books on the F-18, one from Squadron/Signal which I had gotten at the Air And Space Museum at the Smithsonian Institute, in Washington D.C.
