Gotta say this was without a doubt the most intense Substance Designer's video I have ever seen.

One of your best materials by far. Maybe the best ones.

This is truly impressive. You have clearly reached a amazing skill level with this. I am going to have to watch this 20 times just to understand the basics Edit: Ok watched it two more times and think I get it. You spend a while creating shapes and use levels and blends to stack them creating a more detailed 3D pattern. 2d transform, shapes and tiles. Looks like you use edge detect for some finer details at some point. I also see some invert grayscale nodes which is a good tip as I usually just use blends to get the same effect which require more nodes. Never realized just how much power the levels node had when it comes to this. A amazing process and astonishing final result.

Ey bro, I am studient of 3d and i have a lot of Questions, could you do a VIdeo Q&A, for example, can you live from 3d, animation or modeling?
@3dextrude3 жыл бұрын
I have only done one Q&A video before; they are not live though. I don't think I got enough questions to make one currently, but the short answer to your question is yes, you can live working on 3d.

Damn, you really cut out a massive section at 1:28? As someone who has bought multiple products from you before that's a feelsbaitedman.

Sorry, yes I had to remove many parts because this one is a bit long and want to keep these preview videos short. The long form videos are not cut.

@@3dextrude yeah fair enough. Yeah I ended up buying it. Just finished the first video. I’m a uni student so I can’t afford to buy videos all the time but yeah I did really like this material. You’ve got some talent there in designer for sure. Are the full videos at normal speed still? Doing that in 3.5 hours is crazy.
