Hi Vickie, What a heartfelt video!! Such beautiful friends you have. And the skincare you make is amazing. I love everything you make - and this cream recipe is a real treat!! I love the rose hip oil addition!! The level of research you do is amazing. My skin has gotten SO dry as a side effect of meds and I really need more moisture. What you have made here is exactly what I need!! Thank you so much for the time you have put into this!! You are an angel!! Love, Mary❤️😘❤️

Thank you Mary! I would definitely do this for your face. So far I am liking #2 the best, but I still might tweak it. I am using one kind on one half of my face, and the other on the other half. If you need a body moisturizer, there are other things that could help too, especially my Mango Body Butter video. Love you!

Hi Vickie just discovered your Channel what a sweet lady you are I need to learn to make my own products I developed chronic fatigue syndrome and for some reason I'm now chemically sensitive to everything. I've given away all my perfumes, lotions and candles cleaning products everything I just need to start from scratch and make clean products. And what's funny is I've purchased several store products that claim to be natural and yet I've had problems with those also. Thank you so much for providing your knowledge of all these lotions and potions! 🌸

I am sensitive to many things, but what I have found is that if something comes in a liquid form, has anything other than oils in it, it has to have preservatives. A lot of preservatives seem to be my problem, so I usually keep my formulas to water/liquid free.

Nice of you to share. Thank you.

Super information, thank you for sharing so it’s useful to have your experience. I’ve started with using calendula as I’m now heavily into veg, flower and fruit growing it seems a natural progression to start making my own skin care. I’ve been making my own cleaning and laundry materials for a while mainly to save on plastic and money. I’m in the Uk so pronunciations are different of ingredients so it’s useful if I can find them written down. It can be expensive to start though as oils are costly.
@VickiesCountryHome5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes, the oils are costly, but these go a long way, so you can actually buy small amounts if that works better for you.

Hi Lovely sister -friend , so glad that you like your mother's day present, i was getting worried it'd got lost. I knew that starting your channel took a lot of faith in yourself, that's why i liked the bag i sent. I've been so long winded sending you the patch to give to your fire dept and i finally remembered I loved this video....it's something that i'm really interested in. When you read what's in commercially bought skincare, it's scary!!! there's more chemicals and fillers than actual foodstuff!! i've recently switched to a rosehip natural moisturiser recently and my skin feels so much better. All my medications, especially the chemotherapy left my skin feeling dry and tight feeling. i love watching you experiment, and hearing about all the different oils. Nice video Mrs D, love you 😘 xxx

I think the package came Tuesday, and I am so sorry I haven’t messaged you sooner. Things are pretty hectic for me right now. Yes, there are so many nasty chemicals in everything, so I try very hard to eliminate them wherever I can. The Rosehip seed oil is really lovely, all by itself - I hope you try that. I can also send you some more information on some of the oils that might be of interest to you. Love you lots! 😘

Thanks Vicki. I have never heard of some of those oils. Very interesting. I tend to stick to simple ones that I have infused.. Ones I know I am not allergic to. And a skin test is always a good idea, and it was good you suggested to do them.. Even some things as simple and widely use such as Aloe.. can be problematic.. because it contain a natural form of latex .. and I am allergic to latex. So great advise there. I have been making my own products for quite some time now, and It is fun and wonderful. I am one that makes the mistake of not writing down what my favorites are.. so I don't get the same thing twice.. (shame on me) Fun video-thanks for sharing..

I also infuse oils, but that gets into a much bigger topic! Yes, the skin test is important! What a waste to make something,, only to find out that something in it causes problems! I have been asked several times how I come up with my formulas, so I thought this would be a good way to show it. And I used to do the same with not writing down what I was doing. I always thought that I would remember 😂 Well we know how that goes.

@@VickiesCountryHome LOL I can so relate..My herbs I gather I label now before they even go into the food dryer.. Amazing how much dried leaves look the same LOL (unless we put on our glasses-LOL) It is interesting we are not alone and just how many people are at these sites because we have issues, that we aren't getting resolution for. So we count on our own research.. :) and the wonderful people like you. Thanks again.. I enjoy watching you.

What a good idea Vicky. Where do you buy oils ?? God bless you my friend
@VickiesCountryHome5 жыл бұрын
Thank you Inge! It completely depends, as most companies don’t carry all of them. I buy from a number of companies: Mountain Rose Herbs, Wholesale Supplies Plus, Amazon, and others. I usually do a search for the oil that I am looking for, then I look at whether it is organic, how it is sourced, and price. God bless!

The oils I mentioned are Abyssian, Rosehip Seed Oil, Pomegranate Seed Oil, Argan Oil, and Tamanu Oil. I believe I also mentioned Buriti Oil, but didn’t use it.

If you are giving a recipe you need to make sure you give all the ingredients. You didn't say how much pomegranate oil.
@VickiesCountryHome5 жыл бұрын
Actually this video wasn’t so much about the recipe as it is how to formulate your own. You are free to use however much you want. But it is usually better to ask nicely, than to just tell me what I am doing wrong.
