Gamblin does give you the Munsell values and hues on their website. Gamblin, Color Temperature and Value List.

What was confusing me was the Munsel chart in one of your previous videos showing the value of the hue determined by black to white on the value column which also affected the chroma. Are you just accomplishing the same results in a different way with the color wheel? Your approach is much more fun and challenging. We did a little with the Munsel color system back in college and I wasn't impressed with it then. I'll be playing with your color wheel in acrylics, if I can make myself draw out the circles first! Ha! Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. They really help us get through these trying times.

@@1sacoyle Are you referring to the chroma chart (it shows all the different chromas one hue family)? If so, although the color wheel and chroma chart share some information, they highlight different color dimensions. The color wheel just shows the hues at different values. The chroma chart shows the values and chromas of each hue family. Does that make sense?

@@1sacoyle And I was also first shown the Munsell system in college, but it went nowhere because the teacher (word used loosely) showed us the system and never explained how to apply it to our work.

Can only find Cad. green in acrylics form Utrecht/Blick which is right across the river. They want $7 shipping which brings the total to $21+! Is there a substitute color? Found a thalo yellow (green) in my stash.

I'm seeing, on one of the dozens of graphic depictions of the Munsell Color system, 'Values' of 0 to 10, with 10 being white & 1 being black (?). Your 'Paint Mixer" value scale in this video, is showing 11 total. What am I missing? Thanks for the invaluable lessons you are kind enough to share on here!! I'm subscribing!
