I’m not a beginner but I love beginner patterns for their clean aesthetic and simple designs. There are a few new ones for me on your list and they are all great designs.

Hello! I found your channel yesterday and I’m really enjoying your content ♥️ I’d like to make a suggestion. Feel free to to leave it if it doesn’t suit your videos. I mostly watch/listen to sewing videos while sewing and cutting, which I imagine is similar for many other sewists. It would be great if the cutaway pictures of what you’re talking about in videos (ex: pattern picture or item you made) could stay on the screen for longer, that way if you’re listening and sewing at the same time, you can look up and catch the picture before it goes away. Anyways, I love your content and can’t wait to see more from you 😊

Thanks for the patterns. I love this type of videos to keep ideas on future makes and if they are free is also fantastic

I love your list, Cassie. I’ve made the soho vest from a sandwashed silk pillow sham that has very fancy quilted pattern, (lots of curved lines), with a silk kimono lining. I’ve also made it with an upcycled baby blanket and an Indian cotton pillow sham. It is such a fun vest to make and makes a great gift.

Thank you for recommending what upcycle material to use, its so great to use what you already have.

I’ve made Nino cardigan. Very nice. Thank you so much for sharing these free patterns! I’m glad because I’m thinking of making some new clothes for the next season and then you appeared on my feed. Thanks ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I made an A-line dress way way back in jr high school. I have not sown a stitch since. Recently I’ve been thinking about picking it back up. Your video is very encouraging. You have given me confidence to start again all these many years later. Thank You! 😊

re: number 15: I liked Nicole Rudolf's pattern for a cardigan, where she made it for a knit, and knitted contrast triangles to sew into the sleeves and hem to make it bell-shaped. that might be a fun way to still have knitted part of your cardigan

I’m far from a beginner but always find new ideas and patterns to check out when I watch your videos. I’ve enjoyed watching your sewing journey. You have such a sense of style that your sewing is just blasting away with great makes, hacks and self drafting. This video had some thought behind it. Good job!

I also bought the Marlow as soon as it came out. It’s cut. I bought the buttons. I just have to put it together. I was so excited I didn’t measure it to my body. I hope it fits.

Thank you so much for curating all these! Some great patterns in there! I would call myself an advanced beginner but I like finding easier patterns as they sew up faster!

Hi, great video, i would like to have the images up while you are talking about them, kind of how The foldline does their pattern videos. I watch these videos while I sew 😂 and keep missing the images on screen

Great list of patterns. I would like to suggest in the future in your time stamp you also list name of pattern. I wanted to go back and look one up you mentioned but did not remember which number it was so I had to go through several to find it.

Hi Donna -- thanks for the comment! I appreciate the suggestion, but truthfully, it is a little bit of a tactic to encourage viewers to watch through the video -- If I put the name of the pattern in the time stamp, it defeats a little bit of the ~mystery, if you see what I mean! I'll brainstorm and see if I can come up with a solution that works for everyone

This was so so helpful, thank you for this curated list! I want to get into sewing this year, and I'm just so intimated to get started. But this takes so much of the guesswork out of where to start, and with such cute patterns!

I have the all well cardigan - I toiled it but still looking for fabric I want to use for my final version. I loove the idea of a wrap style cardigan in an oatmeal waffle fabric - yes please!

Great list, thanks so much for sharing! I’ve made the Jude Beanie and agree, it’s such a quick and satisfying make. My first knit make was the Lola Tank, also from the same company for Jude Beanie and they were so great w helping me troubleshoot.

I love all your suggestions! And the free patterns. I actually had saved the peppermint lounge set to try! In the future would you consider sharing the min and max Inch/cm for bust and hips? It’s a little discouraging to see a pattern you love and look it up only to find it’s not size inclusive
@MakingCassie2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! I’ll edit this in the description for now and then do this going forward, thank you for bringing this up!

Have you made the peppermint loungewear top? I found it to be way too short in front while the back is longer. I enjoy tucking a cropped top into high waisted pants, but it felt too short to tuck in. Super odd.
@MakingCassie2 жыл бұрын
That's so odd! I haven't made it but I've seen it made a ton on Instagram and haven't heard of that from what I've read. It's good to note though!

I thought your list was great, but as a quilter PLEASE DONT EVER CUT UP A QUILT!!! A wool blanket would be great or quilt your own fabric. Thanks for sharing.
