Completely underwhelmed until we got to Mimi's jumpsuit; well done, Mimi. I also like the wrap detail on the Piddle Pants or whatever we're calling them 😊 WHY can't these companies make up tye vintage patterns and show them on a model? Those drawings are so unrealistic.

So amazing the adaptive items and I will go take a look closer myself because it’s great not only for those who are in wheelchairs but for anyone with mobility issues.

I love that 70s jacket and skirt. Definitely adding to my list to purchase! I can't believe they are honestly trying to charge for a bowl cozy pattern though...

I like the first 70s pattern the most. I also like the six gored skirt. I don't think I have a pattern for one of those yet.

I like the sweatershirt pattern short sleeve for fall I would skip the cutout for long sleeve I have a old kwik sew pattern that has a lined hood and you use coordinating tshirt lining for less bulk in fleece but its fine in french terry Fabrics in most patterns really make the pattern Happy sewing 👗 ✂️ 🪡 🧵 💗

I would really like to see some creativity in the new patterns, they are all pretty much reruns, if you have any length of sewing time behind your belt. I am going over to check out indie patterns. Step it up Simplicity, you have an audience waiting.

I haven't been excited about a pattern release in a long time. I have even sent emails asking for specific styles. For example, "Lilly Pulitzer's 'xyz' dress".

S3001 is a dupe for a Zimmerman dress on Net A Porter - Its an Emerald green dress in silk for close to 1,000 dollars. Its not my style but it is current - The Blouse with the puffy long sleeves and cuff is also on that website under Zimmerman in silk cotton for over 500 dollars- I will probably buy the blouse - I like the fitted look!

3009 I wish one of the options was long sleeves. I would never be warm enough in the winter with these sleeves!

Are they finally adding additional sizing to their vintage releases? This is the first time I've noticed it in any of the big 4. I usually don't buy the vintage patterns because the sizing is still vintage 😂 which is sad because some are so good

I'm mostly interested in the vintage '70s 3018 jacket pattern. Mimi G jumpsuit and 3006 pants are also good. Passing on the rest.

There are maybe 3-4 I liked, but I would never wear “puddle pants”-lol. That would be me in hospital because of tripping! Thank you! 😊

Maybe the pants with heels is another view than the puddle pants.

I'm not interested in any of these patterns. 🫤 The puddle pants are a no-go, for sure. The Mimi jumpsuit in that dark Grey with the sneakers reminds me of an auto mechanics jumpsuit. Could be cute in a fun print, maybe. The coat patterns aren't bad, but I feel like I've seen them before. I don't live in a very cold climate, so I won't need them. I think it's safe to say that S3004 has been done before with slight variations. Butterick B6931, B6930, New Look 6560, and N6720...just to name a few. The vintage patterns aren't bad, but I rarely buy them. I do appreciate the adaptive patterns. Surely, they are needed. Thanks, Lindsey. I always appreciate your commentary. 🙂

I wonder if the “skipped” sizes just means that envelope size is out of stock? If those 20W-28W sizes are truly skipped, that’s very weird

The wrap pant in heavier fabric is happening for winter but not with heels I’m just about to make a pair in quit at my daughters request A daughter that’s a clothes (not fashion) diva through no fault of her own 😂

I do like the brown silky dress 3001. The rest are "meh". Why would you want a faux fur coat with short sleeves and such a huge heavy collar? The other longer fur coat is nice, but with no closures, is totally impractical for cold weather. Thanks sew much for another excellent video.

Don´t think the first pattern has a lined hoodie. Isn´t it a flat felled seam?

I checked all my hoodies are lined, most with the same material that the hoodie is made from, some with contrasting material. All are store bought not hand made

On that really cute skirt, I don’t think the pleats go all the way to the waist. Looks like there’s a seam then you put on a kind of facing, a pleated facing. I’m not sure what that’s really called.

S3001 looks like a pirate shirt design to me. I like it, but there are free patterns for that out there

Tbh I thought most of them were awful and incredibly dated looking. Nothing I'm inspired to make with possible exceptions being the vintage ones, but if I were to try those, I'd try to find the truly vintage patterns, not the reissued ones.
