Makita 4 Stroke Leaf Blower - Unpack and Test

I have owned this blower for 3 yrs. No issues at all. I use it left handed as the air intake is on the left side. So for lefties this is the way to go. I use this at my home. I also own a Makita 7660 backpack blower, EM 2662 high torque trimmer & EE 2650 edger for my side lawn care business. The Makita brand is excellent, I am on there 18V platform for all my power tools(many many yrs). Makita is expensive and the 4cycle engines need a little more maintenance but for me its the only way to go. Excellent power, low noise and SUPERB SERVICE!!!!! There is a Makita service center in my area. I had a issue with my 14" 36V Chainsaw. Walked in dropped it off, walked back in a week later and picked it up.. Free under warranty, not an issue since.

We just got this blower at work, someone smashed the plastic case around the carb almost immediately. Now the thing leaks oil out the breather tube anytime its not upright. So it usually gets ran completely dry of oil. Another thing if you accidentally put some premixed 2stroke fuel in it wont run at all. Its still running for now but I don't see it lasting long the way its going. When it does go we will be going back to a good old 2stroke.

You beat the crap out of it and did not take to get repaired and tried to ruin it with 2 cycle oil and now you want a 2 cycle... yea go get a cheap 2 cycle and stay away from quality parts because you really don't deserve to have nice things.

Pretty impressed. It is still starting first pull with no choke and I have used it a heap :)
