Both of these 36v 125mm saws are designed with a split base so they can cut hard against a wall to remove flooring, but which one is better? It's Makita VS HiKOKI.

very handy little saws. I guess if you were invested in the Hikoki platform you could forgive the few minor issues with the Hikoki. as I've always said there is no perfect tool. sooner or later you will find something about any tool that you don't like or wish was different. cheers to Robert for lending his brand new saw for us to see reviewed. what a legend!

I am surprised that neither saw has a second dust port on the left. When flush cutting, I can imagine sawdust blasting against the wall & creating a cloud around the saw.

Your right. The Hikoki sound off, but powerful. Can you get your hands on 36 Volt 165mm C3606DA. Thanks Robert. 👍🏾😊🤙🏾
@alan3995
@alan3995 2 жыл бұрын
I bought the c3606da over the c3607da because it has a smaller blade but it actually cuts deeper ,strange but true, I love it . I also have the 18volt c18dsl , they both have the same 165mm blade but the 36volt tool is way more compact and 10x more powerful. One thing that's very strange is The 18volt will accept the 36volt battery but the saws overload feature cuts in with about half the pressure as opposed to using the 18volt battery . It basically makes the saw useless unless using it on a 18volt battery.

@@alan3995 that's strange I've never had that happen with my 18v. I just got an 8.0ah and it's running pretty good. Is there many other differences with the 36v? Or is it mainly in the power

@@alan3995 how's the power difference between the 3606 and 3605db? I can't justify buying both and am torn on which to buy. I already have the c18dbal. It's a nice little saw, but only powerful enough for crosscuts, or ripping plywood. When you run it through any framing timber or LVL it says "no, I'm not doing this"

The silent mode is an auto mode. It will ramp up to full rpm under load. All hikoki tools are like this. There is a hook for the hikoki too, the black plastic cover plate you took off, the hook goes there. The front knob handle from the 165mm with also fit on the 125mm saw

Great reviews, "all"; However, this stand alone review on the Makita 165 is great, how does it stack up against the Hikoki 165mm, in fact that Hikoki 165 (6 1/2) is largely ignored on a review. ( we all know the power of the dewalt 60 (56) flex volt, but the unbalanced location of the battery (to far back instead of under the handle where it "must be" unless its a worm type design, dewalt thumbs down for this) where is a "stellar review," like your 125mm makita vs Hikoki that very well done review, That many of us would love to see, it may make a difference in many purchases. 165 hikoki vs 165 makita (the "only" two saws in all your reviews I don't own yet)

Great video I like seeing the hikoki stuff as I am now quite invested into their platform. Yesterday I picked up g 3613db grinder and CJ 36da jigsaw anyone with a review? As I struggle to find any. There is a dust port. There's really no need for a metal guard on a saw this small, or a forward handle. However, the Hikoki has a spot for the forward handle. You can pop off the cover and mount it on.

Why is every single one of these saws right blade when most of the world right handed. Makes no sense.
@reddawgrup1779
@reddawgrup1779 2 жыл бұрын
Idk.. It always made sense to me, if I'm using one of these saws and I'm ripping or cutting anything I'm using my right hand thus if there's kick back my body is on the opposite side of the blade. If using a blade left saw being right handed now if there's a kick back not near as safe...just my 2 cents on the subject. To me blade right is for right handers (which Btw I'm left handed) but they didn't have blade left when I first started in the trade. So I just learned to cut right handed.
@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL
@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL 2 жыл бұрын
Zyzz you have missed the main point of buying this saw. If you are right handed this is exactly how you want the blade. Blade on the left wouldn't work for cutting against a wall... think about it...
