Production apartment framer in the USA. The receprecating saw is the king , the 1st gen skillsaw has a cult following second gen is just a "stud" and the triple hammer impact is loved by all. Not to mention price to entry is above all.

Love ya work dave. Handy tip for the smoothedge, if you have a square mouth shovel, either short handle or long wooden handle, you can just slam it against the smoothedge and more often than not the smoothedge + the nail will come out all in 1 long strip. Keep crackin mate

I used hitachi when they had the old post batteries, changed to dewalt. Was going to switch to Milwaukee nails guns but my tool repair guy said dont. Sees less of dewalt amd more of the red devil. The track saw plunge is better on the wrists than every other gun. Cheers homeslice. Carpentry Australia 👍btw, torque test channel tested the new 860. Rated at 4500bpm. Their test revealed over 5000 bpm, thats 11 beats per second 😮😮

You can replace the nose spring on the framer to a lighter weight one and it makes skewing in odd places much, much easier. You can get it from bunnings.

Could have mitre the skirting so it runs seamless if that makes sense. Runs down from the 80mm on an angle down to the 66.

Festool is pretty shit comparing to the Japanese tools, wankers love it tho, for showing off obviously, overpriced tools.

Are you using the 10ga framer on the trim? Why not use the 16ga or 15ga?

I dont get how these tool manufacturers always seem to stuff up the ergonomics of a tool. If they dont feel good in your hands they just wont sell many.

Do you ever split the bag just across the middle with concrete or cement bags? It then folds in half and is clean to tip into a bucket or just use half etc. Have recently discovered the channel and loving the vids. I've got some OBVS pouches on the way 👍

Which gauge nails is that hikoki using?
@JamieVauxnut15 ай бұрын
I was looking forward to your thoughts up until you said the Dewalt plunge is the best on the market and you likes the plunge style. The plunge is terrible for making accurate plunge cuts starting at a set point because of the way it plunges forward. In terms of ranking it's mafell and festool joint first then bosch, Dewalt is way down the list if you've tried them all which I'm assuming you haven't by how confidently you said that . Hikoki do make the best cordless nailers I will agree with you on that and the 1/2" 36v router is second to none in the cordless market . The 3rd gen 3 hammer impact looks interesting pretty sure that's a gen 2 you have but it's the best impact on the market for sure . I think you guys need to take off the yellow tinted dewalt glasses for impartial tool reviewing
