Makita EA 5600 F Chainsaw Muffler Mod

I'm in NZ, got one of these, muffler modded it about 18 months ago, competely different saw with an attitude now, seems a lot more powerful than its 56cc. Amazing saw, top quality, never misses a beat.

It's a shame that Makita stopped production of their gas powered chainsaw in March of 2022. Dolmar was the oldest gas powered chainsaw company, & I think their chainsaws represented a great value. Good looking red chainsaws (Dolmar/Makita & Jonsered/Husqvarna) are doomed! If I knew that I needed a new chainsaw some day soon, I would still consider one of these new Makita/Dolmar chainsaws while they still exist!

13,500 from the factory put a better chain on that thing. Your going to love it ported. Same weight as the 562

That muffler is stainless steel. It’s slightly harder to weld than mild steel. You should check out some of the welding porn and heat coloring guys do with stainless and titanium. I haven’t seen anyone do anything like that on a saw. I’m more curious about the 6100 than this saw.

This 5600 was so impressive that I'm thinking maybe with the other saw I might get the 6100 cylinder and put it in the running for best 60cc saw. It truly pulled very hard.
