Great video mate, iv owned an impulse driver for yrs now as a joiner/ shopfitter, I could never go back to a standard impact driver again, Once you've experienced the choice of speeds and the huge sound reductions its an absolute must, Fantastic and so worth the hefty price increase compared to a standard impact, Great review bro 👊

I'm assuming you live in Australia. It can be ordered from total tools. Not often just on the shelf In store. Bunnings might be able to ordered it too. All the best 👍

So I bought the Milwaukee version of this tool twice, and both times it failed on me. Lost power after a while, then would experience issues transferring from forward to reverse. I loved the reduced noise and the power of it, but experiencing the same issues twice makes me hesitant to continue shelling out big bucks for hydraulic impact drivers. Have you noticed any issues with the makita version?

So mine is now 5 years old, still going strong. Only issue I had was the LED light stopped working. This was fixed under warranty, no questions asked. Highly recommend it still 👌

I'm thinking about squeezing the trigger on one of these, I have invested heavily in the Makita 18v platform so it would make sense for me. Impact drivers are fantastic tools but the noise they make is their biggest drawback.

This one in my video is Definitely made in Japan. Not sure if any others are sold outside of Japan.

@@talkingtools9773 impacts honestly don't bother me but if you're indoors with residents i can see it useful, 1 guy has one on offer up with a 3 amp hr if i had the money id probably try to get it for around 120 lol cause i love my makitas.

Silly question, but is the makita logo a separate piece of white plastic like the newer impacts? Tbh, it's nice to not scrape the paint off the logo

This kind of driver is for serious professionals. My explanation in detail is for people who know plenty about how an ordinary impact driver works already. If you need to see drivers put screws into wood to understand what it does, then this one probably isn't for you.
