today the same seeman is talking about right to eat anything instead of supporting anti cow slaughter and export of cow meat and death of natural agriculture process.........it is high time he should remember his own program and rather support BJP agenda to protect cows....

In 1965 when the then food minister C .Subramanium and M.S.Swaminathan introduced hybrid seeds, fertilizers price of one kg rice was Rs three and it was more than the daily wage of a laborer. People were rationed just 110 grams of rice and advised to eat rats. Feeding more than 200 guests was a penal offense and the host arrested and sent to jail. If somebody was in possesion of rice it was confiscated. Only with the so called green revolution millions of Indians escaped starvation death. Now 20 kg rice is given free of cost to every family in Tamilnadu and below poverty line families receive 35 kg.Farmers in Kavery delta cannot sell their harvest in the open market for want of demand and they are pleading the Government to procure. Farmers crying of remunerative prices and there is no laborers available.It is food everywhere and our state is overflowing with food through annadhanams and Amma canteens.But some people are cheating others with lies of agriculture failure and farmer suicides just to earn popularity for themselves. People like Namalwar will destroy the future food security of our country.
