The line "Frustration should be experienced sooner rather than later" is actually a good policy. There's always "The Wall", where talent fails and genuine effort is needed to progress. A person with no talent has hit The Wall early and learned to overcome it, so they're used to it. A talented person, meanwhile, hits The Wall later in life and struggles with it because they never had to deal with it until now. The sooner you hit The Wall, the sooner you get used to climbing over it or breaking through it.

It was the educational 16 mm films that the passive teachers used when I was a child. Zoom can be a useful teaching tool but it was simply a tool that teachers had not figured out how to use. Ironically, in the mid-nineties, I was asked by the Computer Science chair about whether or not we could study how to use computers in education, I replied that there's probably a lot that could be done but the secret would be to create tools that are simple enough for the teachers to develop the curriculum needed and I didn't see that as an easy task as the teachers would vary widely in computer literacy plus all the tools that existed at the time was based on markedly inferior technologies so even a survey of current industry practices would not give us much in the research. Still, the department chair thought it would be worth a few low probability grant proposals even though what we lacked was enticing a researcher and grad students to the numerous grant concepts we were already postulating.

Makoto is one of the rare characters who actually know what they're doing. He's a lot like Cid from Shadow in Eminence who has actual experience. Back on Earth Makoto often got sick and was weak because of the world's pressure on him. His body didn't acclimate to the world correctly like his parents and sisters did. Of course this is partially because of his already innate strong magic, it was like a poison. So after consulting experts, such as psychic mediums and other priests who actually did know of the existence of magic it was decided that he would 'get his body moving.'. So he was put under a training regimen such as normal exercises but also martial arts and general combat. Of course, because of his physique he was still bad at it so it was tough for him to keep up with it. This is partially why he took up archery. But when he was brought to this world, as the moon god said the pressure that was being placed on him was lifted. Think of it like taking training weights off. So believe me when I say that Makoto definitely knows his stuff when it comes to combat.

He doesn't teach them magic, he teaches them battle tactics with emphasis on magic related attacks. In terms of quantity of known spells he would be beaten by his students(as he often uses simple elemental magic and not incantation or specialised spell as the one allowing people to move thru hurricane style wind in this video) but in terms of quality/strength of magical attacks, he beats everyone, probably even Luto.

I think it was mentioned in the beginning of the 1st season when he was abandoned by the goddess that he was granted the ability to speak all the languages EXCEPT for Hyumans. But she never said anything about learning the language, but when he did he still couldn't speak to Hyumans so he settled on using Text speech.

The Goddess that summoned him thought he was too ugly, so she dumped him in the wasteland to die. She “Blessed” him to only understand and speak beast speech.

The Goddess who summoned Makoto didn't like his face, so she told him to get lost into the wilderness and not bother her hyumans. The Goddess gave Makoto the ability to speak all languages other than hyuman common as her only parting gift before discarding him. Makoto later learned to write but not speak common, so Makoto uses the equivalent of a Minor Image illusory cantrip to speak. 💬

Possible Spoilers The reason why he can't speak Hyuman is because when he was brought to this world the goddess granted him the ability to SPEAK every language EXCEPT hyuman. But she never said anything about learning the language. But when he did learn the language he was still unable to speak to hyumans. it's somewhat of a magic restriction placed on him by the goddess. But since he was still able to learn the language and it's grammar he settled on just using word magic to communicate with Hyumans.
