Being able to quietly and quickly cast a spell I imagine would be more practical than standing there chanting all battle. Smaller spells to throw someone off balance and stop them from getting a moment to breathe, while the incantations are reserved for big damage or fight winning moves.

The inhabitants of that world actually have weak bodies and rely on the goddess blessing to be strong. Without the chant the magic gets weaker, and they usually praise the goddess so their bodies don’t get be burdened.

@rubentorrico9094 I'm mostly anime only, but as far as I know, it's not that hyumans (the humans of that world, and Makoto is one of them since his parents came from there) are weak, but the goddess favors them too much. Makoto is a spacial case since he was born on our Earth which has almost no magic, and since he's a hyuman, that was like training in augmented gravity all his life. So naturally when he was transported to a world brimming with magic he became OP.

If I remember correctly, the goddess likes being praised, so she basically made everyone believe you HAVE to praise the goddess, when you really don't have to. (or maybe it was just that you don't need to chant the part that praises the goddess)

You do know he's doubling his mana every day for over an hour. He keeps doubling his mana all because he hates that bug goddess. He doesn't ever want to be summoned by her ever again. He is stronger than most gods and with a creation ability that dwarfs most gods by a far margin. His special space is literally his own world with an endless ocean

not sure about that, i didn't read the LN but i think Shiki is giving his best. He was pretty weak when they sealed the contract, Makoto has superior Magic Powers and could obliterate Shiki at any moment.

@@moteroargentino7944 Shiki did get a lot better, remember he told Makoto he's learned how to run on water now and plus in this Shiki didn't use any of his complicated spells. Shiki is a Lich with hundreds of years of experience collecting and experimenting with magic, his main affinities are for water and earth although he has proficiency in all types of magic and when he was sparring here he mainly used fire and only some basic non-verbal earth spells. Its stated that Shiki's forbidden level spells can easily topple entire armies and potentially entire small nations now that he's been boosted by his contract with Makoto. Ya Makoto is an entire dimension above Shiki in terms of power but at the same time neither of them really tried here lol, if they did that "practice room" would have been another Star Lake

Actually, the Demiplane residents prefer training with Tomoe or Mio. As they put it: "If you work hard, they'll let you land a hit." Makoto *has no chill* during training and doesn't let them even come close, no matter how well they do. Though, as seen in his classes: He DOES give feedback on the tactics used, and offer advice on how to improve them.

For those of you saying Makoto isnt limited. This is wrong. He has a full set of mana absorbing rings on both his left and right hands. Yes, his other rings were lost when he created the star lake, but the dwarf just made him more rings after his recovery. He has to wear them at all times do to his constantly growing and leaking of mana. At any point you can pause and see the rings on his hands. He also has no choice but to wear them in order to hide himself from the goddess. He has been nerfed this entire time time ever since the elder dwarves came to the demi-plane and made him rings in the first season. Even in the fight with sofia and mitsurugi all 10 rings were not released. The arrow he shot at the end had about 3 rings with it, but prior to sofia taking him in the air he still had about 6 rings remaining between the both of his hands if you go watch the fight....We still haven't seen his full powers. Hope this puts things into perspective.

to my knowledge she did not curse him to be unable to speak to them, more she just gave him the blessing to speak all languages{including some we wouldt normally consider language}, and then removed the hyman language (common) from that list. slight spoiler below also the part that i think is spoilers that gry is referring to, is that not even hymans know how to speak common, the language is given to them as part of their blessing.

Shiki is much better at magic than makato, but it doesn't matter makuto takes basic spells and dumps absurd amounts of mana into them to overwhelm opponents coupled with top notch combat instincts he's nearly invincible

Hell, the whole reason he takes Shiki in as a servant with that contract is to learn more about magic. As he says himself, his "Spellbook" up until that point was a SINGLE PAGE that Emma wrote for him. The humble Bhrid spell is his bread and butter, yet each one hits with the force of a 2000lbs bomb. If not more by this point in the series...

On the other hand: The students that accepted that they were in WAY over their heads, and were willing to put in the work to learn and take his advice to heart would definitely grow stronger for it. The ones that realized their teacher knows the value of hard work, and after their initial fight against him (which they hopelessly lose to teach them "Frustration" so they're motivated to struggle to get stronger), he gives them challenges that they can absolutely overcome.
