Hi Sophie, I have stumbled across your channel at a struggling time at my career and spending habit. I started a hard job which requires me to work 50 hours plus. In turn, I turned to luxury bags or jewelries to make myself feel better… This viscous cycle has made me upset and sad in general. Last month marks one year anniversary at my job and I think I’m further away from financial independence I always wanted, or just simple happiness because I felt trapped. I stumbled on one of your videos last week. Your energy called out to me. I usually don't watch these kinds of videos, honestly. But apparently, the universe knew that I needed you. This year has been the worst of my life. I'm calling it the year of suck. So many bad things have happened. I've lost 5 loved ones this summer, in less than 2 months. I lost my home, my car, got mixed up in some legal issues of my son's & then in July, I fell at work & fractured my hip. These are just a few issues I've dealt with. To say I have become seriously depressed, is an understatement. I have not been very kind to my body or my mind. I know I need to change some things. It's just been so hard. I'm stuck at home all day, alone. I simply had given up. Until I started watching your videos. Not all of them apply, of course, but a few have been so helpful & needed. Hi - I am an accountant and I found out that you can simplify your finances by setting one date to pay all your bills. This means calling your supplier or provider to change the due dates of your subscriptions so everything will be within the same week you plan to pay all your bills. It works for me so well. I love quiet places like this but I realized that I'm also more of a suburban girl🥰. I grow up in a quiet province near the beach but I always love the city. We bought a house outskirt of busy San Antonio but we chose a house with a small pond at the back so so we can have some quiet ambiance anytime. I start decluttering 2yrs ago and our new house have a fluid minimalist feel so it will force me to let go of really the unnecessary. I feel like I want the best of both worlds, in our old age we are enjoying the marvel of technology (we have a smart house equipped, security cams etc) we are also near a Veteran Hospital which is important for my Husband.
