Oh I love malasadas and Leonard’s! Whenever I go back home I also visit the Leonard’s trailer at Waikele shopping center in Waipahu. I never even thought to make them myself but now I can. Thank you for sharing your recipe!

My first malasadas were at Paia General store. they were about 1.5" I went to Honolulu 50th fair ordered 6 pcs they were almost 4" no way could I finish too much sugar :)

I just went back to Hawaii in October 2024 and I made it a point to stop at Leonard's on apahulu and also the truck in Hawaii Kai shopping center they had a truck there. You make it look so easy and this recipe looks delicious I definitely will be making this thank you so much for sharing this recipe mahalo!!

It is the same as paska sweet easter bread with potato. Only yours is fried, and the pasta is baked
