Your reviews are always so enjoyable. The home alone seat reference is priceless. The classic MAS livery was a great one in its’ day. Corruption under PM Mahathir’s appointed execs crippled Malaysia Airlines. They deserve a great future.

That was a lovely review! From the lounge to the flight, everything was well documented without being unnecessarily long winded. Fun fact, there are currently only two 737s left in the MH fleet with this particular cabin and you were on one of them hahaha. And yes, MH crew have always been phenomenal. they are upgrading the train and replacing with the bus shutter, which i find it quite nice as you can see aircraft closer.

Love the "Home Alone" seat reference. I think todate, MH still has 3 different type of cabin - the oldest one (the one you were in in the vid), the new-ish one (with "leather seat", still 16 J class seats, and the newest one (intro'd in 2022), this is the cabin type with 12 J class. I love the sleek design of the newest cabin, and very warm blue/grey color.

Hey man, this was an awesome informative video. I've been browsing your site and love the idea of the QF seat finder. I've tested this tool but have noticed often the seats found aren't actually available on the QF website. Is this a known issue with the tool or is this purely a QF Status issue? I assume the tool simulates availablility as a QF Plat member & maybe wont display for me as a QF bronze. Love your work!

Thanks mate! Yeah the seat finder is a bit iffy and can sometimes pickup Jetstar flights or other carrier flights. It’s just the way the data is scraped. Once I have a bit more time I’ll refine it.

Referring to the smoking ash tray thing, it's mandatory for all flights in case people still smoked. If you go to any lavatories on any aircraft, you will find it just there.

That’s literally the regulations though, there has to be an ash tray in the toilet, not at the seat! The 787s are really funny as the ashtray in the toilet is the size of 1 cigarette.
