The people Bill Cosby worked with, some grew up on the show, they had good relationships with him and can't be asked to judge him on what's in the media now. Their experience is their experience, you can't take that away from them.

I know there were predominantly black characters on A Different World and the Cosby show, but those of us who grew up watching those shows didn't think about their race while watching them. Dr. Huxtable's humor was exactly like my dad. The kids were a lot like all of us in high school and college no matter our color. They were both just really great sitcoms. @vincentbrown18724 жыл бұрын
@@TeachAManToAngle the truth is hard to deny and it is something all humans do. When we love someone we actually see them as we want them to be and not necessarily as they really are. Cosby was an American Icon, a Black Hero,an Industry leader, helped a gazillion people who worked with him , and was helped by his money and power and what they learned from him. Of course, he was loved by Malcolm and by many. If a hundred women came forward with videos of him sexually abusing them the people who love him would still deny it . Some would no doubt respond " well you know today they can doctor videos ". We appreciate Cosby for what he gave the World publicly, but should understand that many people who have done great things have a dark and bad side. Despite being in a position to have consensual sex all day every day with more women than most men who have lived he obviously had a fetish for just " taking it " and that's something no one is allowed to do to even 1 person.

I love how he listens to him and let's him speak. It's not very comment to see an interview where they listen and let the person speak. I don't care to watch the female talk shows because it's not a talk show. It's a "Who can talk the loudest and get their point across while cutting others off" show. I personally dontind debates, and having conversations, and hearing different perspectives and how other people feel about a subject. What I don't like is when it becomes a competition and turns into a "well you're wrong so I am going to prove you wrong" situation instead of opening your mind up to different points of view, and if you don't agree, then to respect the other person's view. They have a right just as much as you do to feel how they feel. I have this problem worth a LOT of my friends, granted they are all teenagers (I am 17), and I can't have a serious or meaningful conversation without it turning into an argument or someone's feelings gets hurt and they personally attack me or someone else in the group. I have found some teens that are like me and we can have these kinds of discussions. You just have to know who you can and can't talk to about certain things, and I am sorry to say but in my honest opinion, these female talk shows are mostly contests to me and not seriously sitting down and having a civil and adult conversation. As a young woman I have to set an example for other kids my age and for my little sisters. My mom raised me this way and I am grateful for it. Woah.....I just realized how long this comment is😂😂😂

Dear Black Man, If and when you ever have the honorable privilege of become a pillar in “OUR” community... “This” community... stick with God, stay extremely humble, and lastly but most importantly don’t let the fame go to your head in such a way you’ll find yourself treating human life as disposable! ....especially women and children of the same community you’re a pillar of!!!! Don’t do it Black/Brown man.

Jamal - PLEASE re-do the Cosby Show and play the Dad yourself this time. The show did so much good and helped bring families together. I can't imagine raising my kids without a show like that .... and there's nothing else like it. What Bill did in the dark should NOT take away from the positive things he did ... and he did a lot of positive things. Not in anyway condoning what he did in the dark. There is a punishment for crime and karma will have the last say on that - but I hate to see society condemning EVERYTHING Cosby did. This is such a sad story on all fronts. REmake the show and play the Dad this time. Just beware of the pitfalls that come with fame and fortune.

tbh no actor likes to be typecasted and stuck in a character that is actually what has held him back. The Fresh Prince of Bel Air cast feels the same way including Will Smith - he says no matter what he does people associate him with the show even with his level of success . it is hard for actors. Being on an iconic show with an iconic cast and playing an iconic character is a curse and blessing both at the same time

I don't think it's held MJW back from some great movie career. He has done much better than a lot of other former child stars. But he was never what I consider to be a great actor. He was great as Theo, but it was hardly a challenging role. I think Cosby actually had the toughest part routinely going from goofball to responsible parent. He really did carry the show.

It's possible to live/work with someone for years and not know about or experience what he did to these women. It happens every day all over the world. It doesn't mean that they're in denial about what he did. Their experience with him was just very different. Some of these type of men/women live right in our homes and we don't know everything that goes on.

Kenet, I feel ya. Probably isn't fun getting a cold mug from someone you try to be cool to. But, is it possible he's really just an introverted guy who could be worn out? I don't mean hypothetically, I mean maybe he really isn't the center of attention that he played as a teen (and on many episodes stole the show). I really don't know. Only thing I do know is that on Cosby he was the open star, but in later life he looks mostly serious.

Yes, he will always be "Our" Theo Hustable. I really hope he's proud of that. He was that young teenage black boy that gave hope to other black boys that we can make it and we are on the same level as them. Theo! WHEN WE SAW YOU, WE SAW OURSELVES!" Malcolm you are an icon. I honestly dont think that you have been given your do diligence on what you did for young black teen boys 2 men, around the World. The Cosby Show, will forever be a trendsetter. It broke molds and barriers. It gave a new hope and a push for succeeding excellence to and for the people of color. I can not just throw away the memories of sitting in front of the telly with my Entire family, anticipating and waiting to hear the sax and drums. Bill, you brought families of all races, rather they want to admit it or not, back together. Eventhough, if it was only for that 1 night and 30 minutes of expected and assurrance of enjoyment. I thank you for those memories that I will forever have when family came together if only for 1 night. That night.

Much respect to Malcolm for giving an honest answer. It's too bad that these memories will be washed away because of this whole Cosby fiasco. I'm not sure what the truth is, but in reality these women were drawn to Cosby because of his fame. What were they expecting to do afterwards with him if they were together at a bar, play chess? Cosby loved the ladies...maybe a little too much but those were the times....fame, drugs, sex.
