I suppose Norman Lear was more interested in ratings than what the show was becoming, that it was pretty much turning into "The JJ Show". John wasn't too thrilled about Jimmie Walker becoming the breakout star and his JJ character uttering "DY-NO-MITE!!!" in nearly every episode. John saw JJ as buffoonish and wanted the character to look less like a stereotype. How did Norman respond? He called John to let him know he wouldn't be back next season and that his character would be killed off.

People have asked "Why did Cosby need to drug women?, he could have had women voluntarily offer to have sex with him"...Well, to answer that, you have to understand the mindset of a "serial sex offender" Men, like Bill Cosby, had developed a need to "totally control" their victims. Most sexual predators are motivated by hostility and a need to control others. Drugging, or incapacitating a woman, makes that easier. "Sexual gratification", is usually an after thought. The American black man, including Cosby, has made himself believe that he can conquer the world, with his penis. Having a healthy sex drive is fine, especially if you are married or in a committed relationship, but men like Cosby, after a while, lets his pecker lead him over the boundary into criminality.

Most female interviewers are the same way. Its not a dig at women but just something they often have in common. Barbara Walters is a good example. Theres been quite a few female journalists at the different 60 minutes also that just could not let the subject talk. Same with female talkshow hosts....its just not that easy for the person being interviewed to get a word in.

Samantha Conn That’s because Cosby was falsely targeted as an arch enemy of black people… because he kept saying things about responsibility in the black community. So anybody black who is in the public eye who supported Cosby risked incurring the ire of the black vanguard.... but also, though, most black people who are in positions of influence were already on board with the BLM ‘victimhood to power’ narrative, anyway. I am fully convinced that the BLM took out Bill Cosby. And seeing what they’re capable of these days, it’s not hard to believe that. Sorry to be so blunt about it, but certain things have to be said.

Point 2 you said someone knew he did it and most like if he did that might be true but that doesnt mean john did. How she was interviewing a man has nothing to do with if he knew or not it was treating him like he was already guilty of know when at the very least he even stated they breezed passed each other one in they career. Interviewing isnt about pointing fingers it's about presenting the facts and getting information to form a more concrete idea of the possibility. Rather than a necrophiliac it may have been that Cosby was chronically insecure and felt at any time during the planned seduction scheme his amorous approach might be rejected. No matter his fame and wealth and stature in the entertainment industry he was still terrified of rejection by a still conscious woman . The irony is that the female who finally brought him to justice was a lesbian. Maybe Bill sensed she was a lesbian and had the arrogance to think that he was the male who could get her to change her ways or she wouldn't dare reject him since it might "out her"? Insecurity or arrogance or a toxic mix? What he did was wrong and the law says it was criminal. It's not the same of getting a woman drunk for she knows the booze approach. Putting something unbeknownst to her into a drink is drugging her without her consent. She can drink until she has no physical will to resist but knocked out by a pill is going over the line.

Perhaps such a horrid proclivity is always kept hidden and even a passing joking reference to such a "preference" and practice even to a super close friend would never happen. Surely he would have picked up something from years of working with Cosby. Cosby's wife probably knew about her husband's perversity but enjoyed a super privileged lifestyle. In prior court documents Cosby himself admits to obtaining prescription grade sedatives for the purpose of drugging women with....Why does a man go to such length to get prescription drugs for any woman that is not his wife or family? I really don't get the defense of someone who rapes anyone this is new!...oh yeah until it happens to a woman you care about a wife, mother, daughter, sister! My mother was drugged & raped and I saw the after affects of what a powerful drug can do to a woman which can last way AFTER her rape ... My mother was a basket case for at least 2 days before the drug was out of here system! She was talking crazy, she was delusional she was giving away her belongings where she would not normally & I was not sure she would come back to her senses or if she would come back at ALL! Trust I am not here for the BS not EVERY "BROTHER" is innocent just because he is a "brother" Never get THAT twisted! Every one is praising John Amos for a high road ...yes he did have class and tact....but the man ALSO SAID there were rumors for YEARS from .....RELIABLE .... sources!!! He is classy he is dignified he looks great for 80 something... But please do not get it twisted as to what he DID SAY about what he knew from "reliable" sources... This classy man would NOT say what he said IF the sources he mentioned were not sources he could TRUST! Bill is not in jail JUST BECAUSE he is a Black man... He is in jail because he is a man who ADMITS that he did buy PRESCRIPTION LEVEL drugs to USE to basically anestheticize women with.. HE ADMITS THIS IN CLOSED COURT DOCUMENTS which were OPENED to corroborate what women were saying he did to THEM! Alright MAYBE some were lying but OBVIOUSLY some were telling the TRUTH!
