i have never heard of Hart Island and it's 30 minutes away. Creepy history for real, not that the movie did real justice. People Google Hart Island, NYC and you'll see why this must be a cursed place! Thank you Cult Cinema Classics for sharing. Loved the film, love seeing McDowell.

I used Google Maps to find Hart Island, and it showed other interesting islands include a lighthouse island. Two other NYC islands that were not mentioned in the movie was Fire Island near Coney Island.

A very effective movie. It does a good job of weaving the history of Hart Island with a creepy story and in a way that's different from what most movies of this type might try to do (i.e. ghosts or zombies). Plus, how can you go wrong with Malcolm McDowell?

I went to French Guiana where i lived for a year and worked very hard in restaurants until late at night to pay my plane ticket to come to France, where for a long time it was difficult but It's going well now. I living in Paris. This film also talks about undocumented immigrants who die anonymously. And I also really liked the character of the woman who investigates the anonymous deaths and who was found in the streets, and is sensitive to the anonymous deaths in the streets. ❤❤

This was really movie!!! I loved the female cop. Too bad I haven't seen her acting after. She was really good. The whole cast we're really good. I would watch it again and tell people about. Nice twist for a bug movie

Pretty good movie. Wholly unexpected. And what can you do really? Recent science suggest theres are 200 million bugs for every human. What can you do? At the end when she's looking up at the high rise buildings, basically people living and working in fancy well-lit coffins only to end up in a coffin deep in the black Earth.

It's an ok movie. I don't like when music gets played loud intermittently during movies, no matter what genre. It's pretty slow but worth a watch if you're bored. Thanks for sharing it though because it at least kept my interest. Blessings of love and light to all.

This movie is terrible. Its not a horror film or even a thriller. It is basically a bunch of unrelated people running around a scrap of land for an hour. Including some prisoners, one of whom has the absolute worst fake sharpie face tatts I have ever seen. Theres some woman, whose purpose I never discover. The set director has never seen a maggot and bought huge mealworms instead. Malcolm McDowell obvs had to pay his mortgage that month. And then bees. Or flies or some swarm of something. I gave up at that point.

It's a great island for someone who wants to bring their husband or wife to instead of filling for divorce . You just tell the spouse I am so sorry things have not been very good for awhile now . Let's go relax to this island I heard of . Nobody lives there . And we can be alone just the two of us . And it will be like when we first met . A little adventurous . Then push them outside and wait . Why divide assets in a divorce when you can have it all .
