In the post-2020 world, Americans, having faced the controversies of the 2020 election and the January 6 insurrection, may be tempted to do their best to forget these events and move on - yet to bestselling author Malcolm Nance, this is the worst thing they can do. As the country is experiencing a sharp rise in radicalism and hostility toward democracy, Nance argues that it is more important than ever to be actively confronting the rise of a new threat to democracy from within.
Malcolm Nance is a leading expert in counter-terrorism studies, as well as an intelligence analyst, cryptologist, former senior chief petty officer in the United States Navy and founding executive director of the New York-based think tank Terror Asymmetrics Project on Strategy, Tactics and Radical Ideologies. Nance has written at length on the dangers posed by major terrorist groups, such as ISIS and al-Qaeda.
In his latest book, They Want to Kill Americans, Nance explains how conspiracy theories, white privilege and increasing hostility toward democracy have all contributed to the rise of what he calls a “Trump Insurgency in the U.S.,” or TITUS. Having forewarned of divisions in America turning into fractures in our country months before the January 6 insurrection, Nance warns that the rising generational threat may rival the Islamic State or al-Qaeda, and that immediate action is necessary to address this growing unrest before it is too late.
Join us as Nance explains how such a destructive force has sprung up in our own backyard, and what can be done to quell its growth.

I am proud to maintain my one year ago comment : "I noticed in the last couple years his comments, being so accurate and with such a clear vision of what is going on in today's international arena. Entertaining, funny, but very serious in substance and competence. He had the guts to face hot zones of conflict with a great desire to help, in fact all of us. Thank you Malcolm for your great service. People like you are really needed for the success of a better future world".

Your a good man Malcolm, and I assure you that you are loved by many, myself included. I don't have your background, or education, or experience, but somehow, I knew, the same things you knew, when you wrote the first book about what we were looking at with 45, it's strange looking back now, especially when back then, there were very few people who saw the danger we were in, and still are. Thank you for being a good person.💞

We L O V E Malcolm Nance💌 I still read Reader's Digest💖 In November 2016 the issue included: Trump and Clinton: 26 Points to Ponder. Unfortunately, the article should have been released prior to October/November. How anyone could have voted for tp is 🤯but the article nailed it. It was originally set to interview both candidates but tp said no and after a brief time HRC decided not to be interviewed. I remember (I can't find my copy) the article had points from people who cobbled together statements made over the years by both tp & HRC and gave a summary of what to expect from the presidency of each of them. I almost did not read it since it was past the election, SO glad I did! I never skip articles. One point I remember how tp was obsessed with nukes back when Pres. Reagan was in office. & you have to give HRC something to work on because she is a worker, she has to try and fix things

Truth is, if you are a Black American, we saw this after EACH presidential election! There was one decent one an in my eyes it was Jimmy Carter! What did they do to John F Kennedy and any other good, decent moral candidate who runs for President, if you have these BELIEFS, than the 1% who RUN & LITERALLY CONTROLL OUR GOVERNMENT will NOT ALLOW this to happen! Obama won and CAVED to the 1% after he won, despite the fact that we would finally feel HOPE & CHANGE but got a TINY TASTE of it! Bernie Sanders, we watched what they did to him! The leadership within the Dem Party is just as bad as the Republican Party, no if, ands about it! As far as I'm concerned, we will NEVER SEE, nor FEEL America living up to its Promise! Our Government, be it Federal, City or State is ROTTON & CORRUPT to its core!

@@rebeccajohnson8579 I agree with you, Carter was and I thanked him for giving me a part of my childhood without war, and ugliness. A man who gave us plenty to be proud of, a true man of service. I also hate what they did to Bernie, because I don't think he lies about anything, and they really hate him for that. He is also a good man in my eyes. We have let a handful of people become way too wealthy and way too powerful. I don't know how we fix it, but it should be dealt with, because they have shown they cannot be good stewards of their power, and they will use it to all of our demise if they feel so inclined, and that became crystal clear with 45.

Ultimately I think Malcolm is talking about justice. How much does it mean to us? A lot, or a little perhaps? I'll line up with those who choose a lot. Justice is always a giant choice which should be commonplace, but so often it's not. And that hurts. It hurts a lot because it hurts us all. Off to get the book..... Thank you Malcolm Nance.

To begin with,, our founders chose free expression of speech, meaning the government cannot arrest or harrass you for expressing yourself, even in a hateful way. Yet, if that speech harms you in some way, you can sue the speaker in civil court. That's in the first amendment,, making the principle almost impossible to change. The second amendment is now being interpreted by the NRA and several states as legal open carry of any deadly weapon. So, the combination of these two basic rights could be interpreted as.a legal right to shoot anyone who disagrees with my hate speech. Such hated people are often Liberals...for no reason other than we Liberals also support the Constitution, but in a far more humane empathetic way. That appears to be the attitude of too many Trump fans. I think of your question this way.

Each time I hear this man speaking of truth to power. I gain more respect for him. Malcolm Nance you uphold your oath of service to this nation with distinction, honor, empathy for the suffering of the innocent, weighted and tempered in clear conscience and evaluation of the evidence gathered presented observed and level a response based upon the unquestionable devotion you show to your family to your neighbor, your respect for the ideals of the goodness of mankind shall defend the evil of mankind with firm and professional indifference to show the " Orcs " their error of their way to define clear options and stand ready for the response. Knowing what you are capable of, I am inspired that my ideals and yours aline, my physical skills to actions aren't as sharpely honed as yours is true. Yet I will follow your lead in leading myself to better serve the greatest good of humanity with the love that we all share to be a better union of equal people. We have to open our own eyes to define the good the bad and the ugly of our own nation and stand to correct the record of those amongst ourselves who do not uphold with respect the ideal of being a decent human being, with the question of where do you want to go from here. We have to beat them at the ballot box, we have to defend our individual States to administer and certify that no actor of Malice whose previously and continually to give voice to poison the minds of the electorate with lies and deception, and the destruction of the institutions and the disruption of governmental duties from their lawful execution, the ballots must deny any application for elected office of a known traitor, or person who has engaged in levying war against the United States. That is the law. We have to respect to the State's their judgement to keep a disqualified candidate for office from ever holding public office by not allowing them on the ballots for their own state. If anyone is found ineligible for office and is denied in one State of our nation. Then they therefore will no longer be eligible for office on All 50 States ballots. Score 49 ok, 1 not. Okay now that they no longer can appear on all ballots on election Day throughout the nation. It would also be a disqualifying offense to let such a candidate continue to remain on their respective States own ballots. What now is our standard for having people who lack the integrity to uphold the Constitution to have the ability to break that oath while still in service to the Constitution and seek to take that same oath now once broken once again, that doesn't make constitutional sense.

Malcolm Nance is an amazing man and probably the most knowledgeable on this topic among many others. I like how he analyzed the nuclear threat but I will add one thing that I heard a retired general say which was the following: If Putin released a nuclear bomb on Ukraine, there would be literally blowback all the way to Moscow because that's how the wind travels. There would also be literal blow back into Poland and hence NATO would be invoked because that would be an attack on a NATO member. SO it is absolutely impossible for him to do it without these two very deleterious things occurring-- one being the destruction of his own people in their own country and the other resulting in an attack on Poland which finally brings in NATO which has been built up on the border over this last year. To me this was the most concise and clear analysis of the situation because it's simple fact. In America we are so isolated that we forget that European countries all border each other and anything that happens in one country will affect another country, especially something such as nuclear fallout which travels in the air and on the Wind and knows no borders. IN contrast, of course America could drop a bomb with NO physical effect on its own people.

Mr. Nance is one of my heroes and the reason I started paying close attention to our politicians and the stories people ignore. The only downside to knowing what to look for is watching it happen.

@@ofagehomegirlbasicfemale your -hot- lukewarm take, makes very little sense. Malcolm uses his experience as a former spy to provide assessments and commentary about his observations of the geopolitical landscape. Additionally, the United States and Ukrainian governments seem to find the information he provides useful.

Awesome. Not in the intelligence community, but have many friends who were. Everything he says is what they say. Hope someone like him is advising Biden and that Biden listens. Also agree with how silly the news media looked at the beginning of all this.

I was in the intelligence community - with Malcolm Nance, as it turns out - and I can tell you that EVERYONE in the Naval Security Group during his career absolutely despised him then and still despise him to this day. He had zero friends. And SECGRU eventually got so sick of him the command said "No more!" and decided they didn't need Malcolm Nance's services the remaining five years of his Navy career.

The Art of War by Sun Tzu is my favorite book of all time..Malcolm is well versed in it, and his analysis is right along the lines of that book ..Up until this ill advised invasion, I thought Putin knew the book pretty well also ..Sun Tzu begins with 2 major rules before anything else starts ..Know yourself, and Know your enemy ..If you know yourself and not your enemy, you will win 1/2 the time and lose 1/2 the time ..You need to know both to win , and knowing neither yourself or your enemy is a guarantee of losing ..Putin both underestimated the Ukrainians and the actual capabilities of his own military ..Russia's future with Putin his very bleak at best ..He has already lost this war and his days as Russia's leader are numbered ..Malcolm Nance knows his stuff and if his warnings about the ongoing Trump insurgency are ignored, we are in for a lot of trouble and by that I mean a lot more domestic terrorism propelled by White Christian Nationalist ideology ..Crazy times..Think U.S. history in 1850's through 1860's ..

@@TqSNv9R0iG5Ckxew KZbin equally and automatically censors EVERYONE who uses abusive/damaging/inflammatory language. Just learn to behave like a normal human being, you should be fine, confirmed by me being able to read your uncensored comment. Anything beyond that is handled by the community and/OR the CHANNEL OWNER. If you deliberately lie or spread known disinformation aimed to hurt innocent human beings you will be reported on, and if it is confirmed as being deceptive, you will be censored.
