Brandon Sugiyama and Peter Wolf traveled to Zhangzhou from Beijing in September 2002 to record the China National Wushu Championship. That video footage was later edited and sold on VCD's by Raffi Kamalian and his BeijingWushuTeam.com website.

It is interesting to note that although nandu was still a relatively new thing back then, athletes were comparatively more creative with their connections compared to nowadays. Also looks like the clip cut off at the end?

Yes, the rules were different in 2002 and you can see that in things like connections, number of steps taken before jumps, etc. The clip cuts out because the tape ended :) If you want to see some very interesting stuff, watch the nanquan video with butterfly twists and aerials.
