Male Squirrel Hides From Rain, Takes Afternoon Nap Inside Nest Box

This is a male squirrel that hid from the afternoon rain storm for about 30 minutes in the south nest box that is meant for screech owls. The screech owls will start to establish territory and ownership of nesting sites in December.

I think it might be. He has a notch on his ear. It is hard to tell unless you get a perfect ear image.

That's not poop! It's his foot or hand. You can see in the live view there's no poop in the box. Squirrels are incredibly clean animals.
