Rescued Squirrels Return To Play In Their Release Cage.

This is Moby and Marley, 2 fox squirrels that were rescued in early spring and released about 4 months ago. They are still together! Occasionally they return to their release cage to find nuts and to play. They were from different mothers when they were orphaned. As part of the rehabbing process, when their are single orphans, they are paired with other orphans. These 2 are still pals after 4 months in the wild!

Oh this is fantastic! Such sweet squirrels. The squirrel in our tree had her kittens. Can’t wait until they can look out of the nest.

The other day one returned, played on the outside of cage then went in to get an almond it looked like. I forgot to post to mark the time. It's great they like coming back to play.
